Week 1.
Despite how unhelpful she seems, one thing has become very clear after talking to the Transmitter: there's no way out of here. It seems like you're stuck here for the time being and the rules the Transmitter told you about are still hanging in every room. You'll be left up to your own devices now – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Patients for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. However, your wake-up call in the morning isn't exactly a pleasant one - loud bursts of static over the intercom can be heard early in the morning, pulsing almost as though it's following some sort of pattern, though it isn't possible to discern exactly what that pattern might be. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) |

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

She's not sure why she's so exhausted. She did a good job of faking that she was fine yesterday, but it feels like she went through some great battle. On the one hand, that's true; the battle with Berserker was touch and go there. But Rin came away without a scratch all the same, so this heavy fatigue doesn't make sense.
Whatever it is, she doesn't leave her room until she feels presentable again, which doesn't see her hitting the kitchen until a little past 11 AM. Is the food still on? Rose might be cleaning up by this point.]

When she sees Rin enter, she gives her a smile.]
Hi, Rin! Did you sleep okay last night?

[She's a little subdued, but still pleasant as she makes a beeline for the tea drawer.]
Despite everything, I slept like a log actually. And you?
no subject
[A small, hapless shrug. She glances toward Rin as she reaches the tea.]
Do you want some lunch? I was about to make some.

[Settling on a blend — a black tea with notes of mango — Rin closes the drawer and fetches a teapot.]
Normally I don't eat first thing after I've gotten up for the day, but I can't afford to skip two meals. I can compromise with something light.

[She nods to herself.]
I wonder if they have the ingredients for chicken noodle here... I'd say clam chowder, but I feel like seafood might be too extravagant for them to keep around.

[A pause, and then a brighter smile.]
I wonder if we could get everyone together to eat as a group sometime... It might help everyone feel a lot more at ease until we figure out how to leave!
no subject
...I guess there is room enough, what with that large dining hall.

I think so, too. Besides, if it's possible... I'd really like to make friends with the people here before we part ways.

Everybody I've talked to has been nice! Besides, if we're all friends... Then nobody will try to get out quicker by doing something really awful, right?

Maybe a little, but... I don't see how believing it's true is a bad thing. Like I said, everyone I've talked to has been nice! And besides, Miss Transmitter said that we could find out more about this place if we investigated more, so that's bound to help us find a better way to leave.

I didn't mean to make you worry about me... I'll be okay, I promise. But you have to promise to do the same!
no subject
Don't worry about me. I'm the last person anyone's going to catch napping.
no subject
[Especially since that isn't what concerns her most.]
It's about knowing how to keep safe in other ways, right? And in that case, you shouldn't worry about me, either!
no subject
It's a phrase, Rose. Like "that guy's so diligent, you'd never catching him sleeping on the job!", you know?
no subject
[A sheepish laugh.]
I guess that makes more sense. But, um, I'm glad!
no subject
So what kind of soup did you decide on?
[Rin finishes setting up the kettle and turns her back on the stove, leaving it to do its thing. This is such an efficient kitchen.]
