Week 1.
Despite how unhelpful she seems, one thing has become very clear after talking to the Transmitter: there's no way out of here. It seems like you're stuck here for the time being and the rules the Transmitter told you about are still hanging in every room. You'll be left up to your own devices now – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Patients for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. However, your wake-up call in the morning isn't exactly a pleasant one - loud bursts of static over the intercom can be heard early in the morning, pulsing almost as though it's following some sort of pattern, though it isn't possible to discern exactly what that pattern might be. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) |

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

The signs look awfully serious, though, and it doesn't take long to find their maker, watching from the fridge like a panther waiting to strike.
To her credit, Tsubasa just looks sympathetic. ]
I take it you haven't had much luck?
no subject
Mm, I wouldn't say that.
[Mostly because I don't know how those threads will play out yet, so! But even if she doesn't get the knives back, hopefully by this point Rin will have secured some type of compromise. She's a persistent girl.]
But I knew from the moment I started that people would be difficult, so that's fine.
no subject
[ God help someone who just wants to eat a good steak here. ]
I appreciate you attempting to work out a solution, though. I haven't taken anything myself, so you don't have to worry about shaking me down; I think that simply using one's better judgement is the best form of protection there is.
no subject
I don't fault anyone for wanting to protect themselves, but it's clear now that things have gotten out of hand. Still, I'm glad to have met such a reasonable person through this. Tsubasa, yes?

[It's interesting to her though that Tsubasa takes that as such a positive. Rin herself actually agrees, but she's met more than one person now who thinks they haven't done enough as a group.]
Do you think things between everyone could be better, though? I'm torn between if that's something we should strive for, or if it's asking too much.
no subject
[ She seems optimistic enough about it. If they had done it so soon after they got here, the panic might have caused everyone to get at each other's throats, but on Day 4 or 5, everyone's starting to think a little more rationally... ]
Perhaps we can do that tomorrow or Thursday...
no subject
[It's a bummer that didn't happen, but they were all understandable upset by their first point of contact with their captors.]
Rose and Corrin both liked the idea too. Actually, they thought it would be good to stage it over a big, group dinner.
no subject
[ It's probably better this way, anyway; with all of the prep time, the odds that anyone will go for someone's throat is that much more slim. ]
If that many people like the plan, we should get the word out and finalize it. I can help with the preparations for the food; Nachetanya can vouch for my culinary skills...
[ She takes a sidelong glance at the menacing signboard above them on the fridge... ]
And I think you can make a heck of a poster.
no subject
That? [Hahaha.] I just whipped it up on a whim, to be sure everyone noticed! I couldn't find paints to give it a real oomph.

Believe me, those were the word engraved in my heart. [And she chuckles lightly before waving the bad idea off., lightly bouncing one foot over her knee.] But tensions are high enough already. You don't solve with force what you can resolve with diplomacy.
no subject
[ And so serious about it, too. Tsubasa can't help but be impressed. ]

I've been looking to expand my horizons, mainly...
no subject
Are you planning to see the world then? If that's not the case and you wanted to go to one particular country, you know you have the option of enrolling into a school abroad, yes? I myself have been arranging to continue my higher education in London, after I graduate.

That's an amazing dream.
[Rin may have suggested looking into universities elsewhere, but she just wanted to make sure Tsubasa had considered everything. But it's clear seven times over she has, and that it means so much to her.
Rin's a big proponent of following your heart, in her own way.]
What's going to be your first stop?
no subject
[ But she appreciates the praise, truly; not that she needed it, but hearing her aspirations reaffirmed makes her feel like she made the right decision, truly. There's probably no university that won't take her, but, that hardly seems significant in the grand scheme of things now. ]
From Japan, first is Seoul, then Beijing. Ulaanbaatar after that, and then, Astana...I tried to map out the way that would be most efficient for a round trip. The upper part of Asia and the Arabian Peninsula, followed by Europe and the very top of Africa, before back to Europe for the United Kingdom...and from there, to Reykjavik in Iceland, and then North America...while the capital is on the East Coast, of course, I'd like to see all fifty states, though that requires basically another round trip within itself, to get back on the best route for South America. From there, to the rest of Africa, and the rest of Asia, before getting to Australia, and the islands around it, before I go to my final stop, right in Tokyo.

It sounds like you're hitting all the big cities. Are you going to detour into any historical sites? There are amazing ones from famous legends that are real, and still around today.
no subject
[ She seems set, if nothing else. ]
I'm hoping to see all of the seven wonders, as well as the architectural ones: the Colosseum, the Great Wall, the Taj Mahal, Stonehenge, all of the major ones. And while I'd like to think I have a pretty full itinerary, I'm, of course, open to suggestions.
Perhaps when I'm visiting Big Ben and Parliament Square in London, we'll have to meet up for high tea. What made you decide to study in Great Britain?
no subject
I'm not travelling as widely as you are, but that's one of the reasons I've always wanted to study abroad.
But more than that, [and Rin places her hand over her chest as she says this, glowing with pride] I've had my heart set on London since I was seven. I'll be spending my days in the same institution my father attended.
no subject
[ Her father, though...that sounds touching. Rin clearly feels strongly about her choice of school, and, from the sound of it, her lineage, too. It must be quite nice to be in touch with things like that, Tsubasa briefly considers. ]
For that long? Goodness, it's not often that people are that determined to reach their childhood dreams. You must have quite a bit of perseverance. Is it a famous university? UCL? Imperial College, perhaps?
