WEEK 1 Despite how unhelpful she seems, one thing has become very clear after talking to the Transmitter: there's no way out of here. It seems like you're stuck here for the time being and the rules the Transmitter told you about are still hanging in every room. You'll be left up to your own devices now – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Patients for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. However, your wake-up call in the morning isn't exactly a pleasant one - loud bursts of static over the intercom can be heard early in the morning, pulsing almost as though it's following some sort of pattern, though it isn't possible to discern exactly what that pattern might be. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) [He's noticed Wesker seemingly study the profiles a bit, but then again, now that the hype's died down, maybe it's easier to try to read them and understand them for what they're worth.]

I think I may have drawn a few conclusions about my own last night, that's all.

[Ah, it's that person who was threatening the Transmitter with...taking a nap a couple of days ago, and who's frankly been exhausting to see around in the halls for a while here.

He doesn't mind the guy, granted; he's just been making a hell of an impression.]

I can't account for all the inconsistencies, but I may have worked out one of them.

Several. About...seventy percent or so is inaccurate, if I had to guess.

What about physically? Did you come with injuries-- or lack of injuries you should have had?

...Yes. My physical condition was decidedly worse upon arriving, not the other way around.

And yourself...?

Mine was perfectly healthy and healed when it shouldn't have been. I was shot multiple times the last I remember and those kinds of injuries don't heal overnight.

There were no signs of tampering that you're aware of? Medical or otherwise.

None at all, except something felt off when I woke up here, but that was it.

Just feeling generally disoriented. I don't usually feel that way, nor do I actually feel like I've slept for long periods of time. I generally like to sleep around 4 hours at most at a time.

...I've been staying asleep longer since I arrived here. The only other person seeming to experience such a thing is Nachetanya, who isn't used to medication that she's been taking, so I'm going to assume that particular problem is simply mine.

The disorientation upon awakening that first day, however...I felt it as well.

It likely isn't. It doesn't seem like the Transmitter is kind enough to give many people things they need to cope.

It's making the stay difficult for some of us as a result.

The rules do say that our needs will be met.

What we want, and what will make things easier for us...those seem to be different matters entirely.

Everyone makes this sound like it's easy to get through.

Perhaps people don't care for your complaining any more than you care for our indifference to it. Who knows.

Either you'll solve it for yourself somehow or you won't. If you do, then all the better for the group, I imagine. If not, then so be it.

It probably would be better for the group if this situation got solved.

It's likewise better for the group if they don't dissolve into being dumb panicky animals because someone decided to make a bold, anticlimactic stand by taking a nap on a couch.

[I mean, if you want to do that then he doesn't give a fuck? It's less about keeping everyone alive and more about not having everyone get inconvenient and stupid over someone else's shitfit.]

Someone needs to test the boundaries of this system. I just had the courage to try to press them.

[Instead of panicking and thinking they're going to die. Though he's still pretty sure death is going to happen, he's just going to make damn sure it doesn't happen to him. Otherwise, he 90% doesn't give a fuck what happens to everyone else.]

It states it's against the rules. What are the consequences of breaking the rules? All that's been implied is that we don't want to know so far.

[If Kogami weren't so fucking afraid of dying and possibly being a somewhat easy victim, he'd probably try it. Luckily he is afraid of dying and he has a halfway decent head on his shoulders even if he's sounding like an asshole.]

And last I checked, your posturing failed to answer that question.

It's not as though there's anything to fear in the hallways or main rooms themselves in the middle of the night, for reference's sake. I'm out here at all hours, often with someone else with me. We haven't seen anything out of the ordinary, or anything that would even be a concern.

[So, you know, it isn't as though the rule is there to keep us safe from something, despite the Transmitter's insistence on wanting us all alive.]
