trading tales and trinkets
[ The dining room is decorated like you'd expect for a party—the paper cutout stars have returned, though there's a lot less of them, and they're limited to some patterns and have pictures from the toy camera of various people and places glued on them instead of being just blank colors, and ribbons are back in style around the chairs and tables.
Speaking of those: there are little paper tents (just construction paper folded like a hotdog) with everyone's names carefully written on them in Aligula's usual curly handwriting on one of the tables. Evidently, that's where the swap meet is being held; just dump your crap where your name is and let people go at it, or stand by and barter to your heart's content.
Otherwise, all the food listed here is available at another table; there's... also parfaits, some okay looking blueberry and raspberry pancakes, cucumber sandwiches, and what appears to be deviled eggs with more paprika than is honestly necessary. The tea is already brewed, but the coconuts need to be cracked open themselves.
Curiously enough, there's a small section with a stack of papers and a handful of colorful pens and markers at the end of the food table; a note by it reads, "Write your own living will!" How... morbid.
As always, have fun! Eat, drink, and be merry. Treat it like a trial and jump in wherever as far as discussions go. There are two subthreads—one for actual discussion and one for the swap meet, just to keep them tidy! ]
