[ It's quiet in the hospital after this trial. Time passes and there are no notes slipped under doors.

The eerie silence reflects the horrors that have been witnessed today. More than any other week, there is a lingering understanding that there are thing regrouping and cooperation will never be able to fix.

There are 7 dead to mourn. No amount of funeral will bring them back.

The rules George has posted to the kitchen at the start of the week have been kicked over. ]

[ QQ does make her way to the kitchen this time, but only to grab a knife to go with all her fruits and drinks. Once that's tucked in where she can easily grab it, she walks over to the bar to sit down and have a drink.

Or at least that was plan. Once she sits down, she doesn't feel like getting up. So she'll be sitting there for a while, staring holes through the labels. In the end, maybe she'll pick one, maybe she won't.

Either way, she'll eventually go back to her room, knife still with her. Not much else to do here until the next area opens. ]

[... Despite the temptation to ignore it because fuck Kogami, honestly, Danny ends up making a trip to room 8 with Kogami's key in hand. If only because he did make a promise to visit the other man after the trial yesterday, and this about as close as we're going to get to having it kept.

That's when Danny finds the letters and as a result, if anyone walks past, they'll be able to find Danny standing there reading them... and then bringing his hands up as if to tear them into pieces, unless someone decides to stop him if they see this.

Otherwise, Danny will eventually pay a visit to room 6 and knock on the door. Once it's open, he simply holds out the note and carton of cigarettes for Mikoto.]

[ Find George in the external foyer, staring out into the snow. He does that... for close to an hour.

And then... he starts punching the glass. Because that is a reasonable way to vent frustrations. ]

Why are all of you such bloody incompetent fools?! Why'd you all have to mess up this badly?! 'Survive' is such a simple instruction - how useless can you get..?? Shit...

[ And then he sinks to his knees and remains there for a little while.

When he gets back up, there is nothing of this little breakdown left in his demeanor. He looks cold and professional again.

... kind of. The rest of the evening he can be found in the art room, sketching ducklings. ]

[For most of the day after the trial, Greed has locked himself in his room, and doesn't seem keen on leaving.

It's not until hours later that he leaves, and when he does, he can be found in the bar looking terrible. He has Corrin's room key and gem sitting out on the counter for any of her friends, as he hasn't gone looking in her room since he didn't know her.

He doesn't look like he's in the mood for company, but he did confess some pretty fucked up things to the younger Sakura at the trial, so he may as well make himself available.]

[It's pretty late when Asgore finally slinks into the bar. His cape is gone - he didn't take it from where Sakura put it down on her podium, when they all left.]

Greed. May I ask you something?

[Old Sakura-- no. Just Sakura now.

Sakura walks to the dining hall out of habit. Finding nothing, she shakes her head. It's off to Room 12 with McGillis's key. She grabs the card key, but leaves the rest of his stuff untouched and the key on the bed.

Then it's to the chapel. She's not going to practice music this time, just... sit there for a while.]

[ Like a lot of the others, Ryoji spends the first bit after trial locked in his room. It doesn't last long, no more than 10-15 minutes because he still hates being alone. So he's off to wander, to pace the hallways really thinking about well-- a whole lot.

It's easier to just try to process everything if he removes himself from it, if he looks at it as who he's supposed to be but he can't really do that anymore. The pacing helps after a while, to the point where he'll go and sit in the external foyer to watch the mess that's outside. But then it's back to wandering again, though this time he settles in the library to read something-- fairytales. When he gets tired of that, he's back to just wandering the hallways until an ungodly hour in the morning.]

[ Pizzazz isn't... there's one constant across all the places she ends up, over the course of the night, and that's that she looks... restless. She's shaking a little, too, maybe? Or maybe that's just the observer's imagination. She's washed her hands and wrapped them up in some bandages, anyway, so that's something.

Her first stop is actually the greenhouse, of all things. She has... it's not her electric, she brought one of the acoustic guitars from the music room. And she sits, in the grass, and starts playing...

... no, she decides after a few lines. No one likes a reprise. So she changes gears to this instead, except as she keeps singing it keeps getting louder, and more bitter, and angrier.

It's really easy to reframe those lyrics, isn't it?

Then she makes her way to the bar, where she... doesn't actually sing, unless someone asks, but she does do some solid drinking.

Which eventually leads her to the chapel, with the door closed having swapped out for her electric, where it's time for another angry song, by the end of which she's...

She collapses to her knees and screams at the top of her lungs before covering her eyes with one hand. So Pizzazz is doing great. ]

Because live and surviving are difficult. [ This is probably one of the last people you want to see George, but it's kind of hard to ignore that outburst. He seems pretty neutral though, it's just a comment. ]

Greenhouse

[ George had meant to visit the gym again, but this is a sound hard to miss and easy to relate to. He listens from the door without interrupting her, closing his eyes behind his sunglasses. In a way, he feels called out by this, but the bitterness drowns out this self-reflection.

He only comes in when her sound goes quiet. Another day he might have applauded, but today is not a day for such fake sentiments. ]

I'm not sure if I'd call this place the 'real world', but that's technicalities by now, huh?

[ Yeah, that is really one of last people he wants to see his vulnerability right now, but that's what he gets for losing his cool in a public place, huh? That's what he gets for wanting to see the outside world, for not wanting to scream at solid opaque walls... Ah, well. Shaky hands adjust his sunglasses so that they sit tightly on his face again. ]

... and this carnage is easy?

[ For once in her career, she's not really looking for applause today. ]

I don't know what the fuck this place is, at this point.

...is it in human nature to be so attracted to death, or is because of their first sin long ago? [ That sure is a philosophical question you're getting. ]

The cliched answer is hell, but that's too simplistic. Worse, it implies we deserve this.

[ And some of them probably did, but here in the greenhouse the presence of Rose lingers, a perfect example for someone who didn't. ]

[ About half a minute to a minute passes before Mikoto opens the door, mostly because it takes approximately that long for Mikoto to decide if he wants to answer or not.

Frankly, he's a little surprised to see Danny here. He's even more surprised when he spots the note and cigarettes. ... why is he getting this, exactly? He puts his obvious bewilderment aside and reaches out with his injured hand to take both. It's wrapped pretty tightly (perhaps too tightly), but despite that and despite blood clearly seeping through the bandages he doesn't appear to be in much pain. It's a safe bet that he some took pain killers earlier. ]

Thanks. [ Gonna stand here and read the note now. It's short, but he still stares at it for a while.

One, it sucks. Two, why did he get one? ]

[Greed's been drinking pretty heavily, by the amount of dirty glasses on the countertop, but he looks up at Asgore just the same, looking perfectly sober for a man who has been drinking for several hours.]

[ He hits the glass one more time with a huff, unwilling to turn and face Asgore. It's bizarre how the monster king has become one of the less worrisome people around the place. ]

I doubt a minor injury or two matters anymore at this rate.

Is that a suggestion, senpai? [ A small smile, like everything is fine for a second. ] I don't think I should.

[Danny was originally tempted to peace out here to go hate himself and all of his life choices in privacy once he was done delivering it, but his attention is drawn to Mikoto's injury.]

... I'm sorry about your hand.

[Wheatley doesn't leave his room.

He thought after all these weeks things would be a little easier. But lately, people he has grown to genuinely care about have died, one after the other.

Wheatley doesn't intend to let himself mope around anymore. Rin said that'd be unbecoming of him. He's going to respect that.

That doesn't mean he's going to be with other people right now. If you feel like looking for him, for whatever reason, he's in his room]
