Trustfell 5: A Good Day to Trust Fall ([personal profile] trustfellowship) wrote in [community profile] trustfelled2017-06-03 11:59 pm

Welcome.

The last thing you remember hearing is static.

There were words in there, perhaps, quiet whispers like the rustling of leaves, like the crinkling of paper, like rust being scraped off a knife. The words aren't anything you'll remember, but they're there, and there are a lot of them washing over you, and it might be concerning if it weren't so warm where you're lying.

You wake feeling disoriented, like you've been asleep for a long time.

Of course, it's probably odd that you're waking up just now - perhaps you were in the middle of something important, perhaps you were waiting for something, or maybe you were just going about your day, but even before the whispering came you can clearly remember doing something back home. Can't you? Something else. Something that wasn't looking around the room you've found yourself in.

It's not your room, either. Not the one you're used to.

The room here is grey and white and tile; even if the bed is nice (and the bed is nice, it feels like it's been designed to cater just to you, maybe if you keep your eyes closed you can pretend it's a favor), the room itself is spartan and oppressing. The walls are cracked and the floors are in disrepair, but despite that there's not enough noise - it's silent, the quietness of it pressing in on you, and even if you can't see any cameras you get the distinct feeling that for good or ill, someone is watching over you as you get up.

That might be enough to make you move, to make you not want to stay there. But even if you stick around for a while to look around in there, the walls hold firm despite their decrepit state and the pervasive silence isn't going away - if anyone's in the rooms near you, you can't hear them. If you want answers, you're going to have to leave. Be sure you grab the key sitting on your desk on the way out.

Once you step out of the room into the hallway you'll most likely find yourself face-to-face with other confused people who feel as though they don't belong here either. Maybe you'll find something if you explore together; maybe it's safer in numbers.

Wherever you end up going - and there are several places to go - you might want to check the large room toward the center of the communal area of the building. A subdivided foyer is here; at first glance, it even seems to offer you a look at the outside. Of course, once you've gotten over that particular disappointment, you might want to check out the walls, where you'll find some very interesting information about yourselves hanging on the walls. There's some other framed information that you'll most likely want to get a look at as well, seeing as how it could be the key to escaping this place.

Although, speaking of keys... Despite your best efforts, you won't find any doors. The windows you find here and there are far more durable than they should be as well, and any attempts to break out won't work. It seems you're stuck here for the time being.

Maybe your fellow captives have some thoughts on all of this.

Welcome to Beacon General Hospital.

[Huh. That's interesting.]

What country do you serve?
blunders: (NEUTRAL ☕ Maid Mayhem)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
The nation of Nohr, of course! It's a very powerful country, though it's fallen on hard times as of late...

[With all of that warring with Hoshido and low supplies and all.]
armamenta: (✖ there's no sympathetic shoulder)

[personal profile] armamenta 2017-06-04 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Krauser's not exactly the most academic guy around but he's got a pretty good grasp of geography and "Nohr" sure as hell isn't a country he's ever heard of.]

Nohr, huh.

[...Is she pulling his leg...]

I'm a soldier as well, from America.
blunders: (CONCERNED ☕ We may have trouble)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
...America..?

[...is he pulling her leg? What on Earth--]

Is...that a country toward Hoshido, sir?
armamenta: (✖ now you're counting on him)

[personal profile] armamenta 2017-06-04 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
[So either she's really damn good at lying or there's something else at play here. He definitely doesn't like it.]

Never heard of Hoshido or Nohr. You're not making that up, are you?
blunders: (SWEAT ☕ Something's going wrong)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
No, no, of course not! I wouldn't make up anything like that! They're the only countries I know, so...

['Explicitly remembers' is more accurate, but she's definitely worried now. She doesn't want to be considered a liar, and she doesn't want to get into an argument. She has to keep herself safe so she can keep Corrin safe!]
armamenta: (✖ but you ain't killing me)

[personal profile] armamenta 2017-06-04 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
[Hmm. She doesn't seem to be lying, but it's probably best if he leaves it alone for now. Does it really matter even if she is lying? She's supposedly a soldier, but she certainly doesn't act like one.]

The "Lady Corrin" mentioned on your profile... is that this girl?

[He taps Corrin's picture with the knife.]
blunders: (SMILE ☕ It's a beautiful day)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Felicia nods her head vigorously when he points Corrin out, practically beaming.]

That's her, yes! Lady Corrin is so wonderful, she's pretty much my best friend! I'm happy to be a servant of hers. I don't know why she's here with me...or, why I'm here with her, but I can definitely keep her safe!

armamenta: (✖ there's no sympathetic shoulder)

[personal profile] armamenta 2017-06-04 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
[man who would ever be so loyal to someone else—]

So she's a princess? Seems a bit strange for only the two of you to be here.

[Unless Felicia's like, the best bodyguard in the world or something.]
blunders: (FROWN ☕ You don't have to say it...)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
I agree with you entirely! She was going out for a morning training session with her siblings...the fortress was well defended, and I doubt anyone could take them all on at once...

[She's less concerned about herself, but the fortress being defended should've been enough to keep her safe too.]

They wouldn't have gotten past Lord Xander, I know that. He would've fought hard enough for all of them to keep Lady Corrin safe...
armamenta: (✖ there's no sympathetic shoulder)

[personal profile] armamenta 2017-06-04 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
[So they were in a secure fortress with the princess's siblings. It would make more sense to bring the siblings too if this was some kind of kidnapping...]

My partner's gone missing too. We just got done fighting a BOW down in Amparo, so I'm not sure why I'm here and he isn't.
blunders: (WORRY ☕ Oh no I'm messing up!)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
...That's very strange. It sounds like we were in places that would have been hard to sneak into, much less kidnap someone from. And people would definitely know we're missing. So...why?

[If this is a political move of some kind, it's not exactly a good one...but you know, now that she thinks about it...]

Were you fighting a crafty archer? I know their arrows can be annoying, but I'd be surprised if an archer could take someone like you down...
armamenta: (✖ there ain't no magic bullet)

[personal profile] armamenta 2017-06-04 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
No, we were fighting a BOW [B-O-W] but it escaped. A thing like that couldn't be responsible for this, though. It'd just eat us.

[ah yes the simple times of fighting zombies...]
blunders: (KNIVES ☕ Am I holding these right)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[...you know]

Is it some kind of Faceless? It sounds like a Faceless, just...a particularly ferocious one. You don't think that they could be hiding outside of this place, do you?
armamenta: (✖ but you ain't killing me)

[personal profile] armamenta 2017-06-04 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Faceless?

[No, he's pretty sure they have faces. Usually? The one he fought kind of had a face...]

It's entirely possible that there are some outside. This place seems safe, but don't let your guard down.
blunders: (IRRITATED ☕ Hmph!)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, they're creatures created by dark magic! They're rather dangerous monsters, so I thought that might be what you were talking about...

[Even so, the next bit gets Felicia to look at the knife in Krauser's hand--she hasn't been there yet, but he has the right idea from the looks of it. That, and it means there's a kitchen around here somewhere! She'll be able to cook if needed, probably.]

Were there very many knives like those in the kitchen? I should probably grab one myself...I'm more used to daggers, but considering where we are, anything is better than being defenseless!
armamenta: (✖ from where you thought you would be)

[personal profile] armamenta 2017-06-04 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[Dark magic. Of course. Because of course she comes from a place with magic.

ANYWAY HE'LL JUST FOCUS ON THAT QUESTION because then he doesn't have to think about dark magic anymore.]

There were plenty of them. I only took what I needed.

[considering that he had something like 12 knives on him before he woke up here, he's being very generous today....]
blunders: (BEAM ☕ I did something right!)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[okay draco malfoy calm down over there]

Good! I hope they'll be durable enough to defend against whatever's outside, then. I can't let my lady get hurt when we leave, after all!

[...so, is it obvious she hasn't read the rules yet, or...]
armamenta: (✖ there's no cure for the weak)

[personal profile] armamenta 2017-06-04 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[...........]

Don't get your hopes up about that. You'll want to check those "rules" over there first.

[He points over to the rules that are framed on the wall. Good... luck...]
blunders: (FIGHT ☕ whatchu say about lady corrin)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Rules?

[Felicia looks around for a moment, before coming across the second plaque nearby. Huh, she must have missed that! She'll just go over there and...read...the rules...

...man, by the time she comes back (she'll be reading them fairly throughly, especially once she gets to rule 7--she can't have read that right, she just couldn't have--), she's. Uh. A lot more dismayed than when she went over.]

You...don't think they're actually going to enforce some of these, do you? I mean, there's no way...they can't expect us to think killing each other is a viable way to get out of here!

[He's still looking over the profiles, so he'll give her space to read over those rules. They're a lot to take in, after all.

When she does return he'll look up, listening for a moment before responding with the most important thing.]

Regardless of what they think, we need to be more concerned with what the people here believe.

[If even one person acts, everything goes straight to hell.]

[...that's right, isn't it. It doesn't matter what this...'Transmitter' does, no. The only thing that matters is how they all react in the end. If someone gets the idea, then it just means everyone will want to kill. It'll be a mess.

Felicia needs to defend Corrin, first and foremost. That was a fact, especially with the rules becoming so clear now.]

Jack, right? What do you believe, then?

Do you want the honest answer or the nice answer?

[...wow.]
blunders: (INCREDILOUS ☕ Really?)

[personal profile] blunders 2017-06-04 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
...Well, both wouldn't be bad.

[Like. Is she gonna need to fight him to protect the princess. He is a goddamn goliath but she will fight him for her lady's honor.]
armamenta: (✖ from where you thought you would be)

[personal profile] armamenta 2017-06-04 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
The nice answer is that I think we'll be capable of getting along well enough for however long we're stuck in here. There haven't been any fights yet, anyway.

[At least, not that he's seen and he's been trying to keep an eye on everyone.]

The honest answer is we'll be lucky if we can last a week without anyone deciding to take action. If we really are trapped in here - and we seem to be - then someone's going to get it in their heads to take the only way out.
