[Wednesday evening, as the posters promised, it is time for a group dinner!

Corrin and Asgore appear to have gone all out on this. There's not many materials to decorate the dining hall, but someone has found the candles in the storage closet and set them out on the long tables to try and replace the flickering fluorescent lights with something a little more peaceful. The spread is simple, but fairly varied; there's a few different kinds of soup and sandwiches, and even what appears to be a few simple homemade pies.

For now, the mood is warm and mellow. The hosts and helpers are milling around, making sure that everyone is comfortable and well-fed, but this is just a dinner party for now. Games and entertainment can come later, after everyone has utterly lost their minds from boredom!]

[pause] Do you know what cellphones are? I need to know what level of backwardness I'm working with here.

I don't! This looks very different from the phones we have in our room, but I know that phones are meant to transfer audio between places.

[ She's learned that much!! ]

Yeah, those are super old. In the real world, phones are super small and can do literally anything. They're like cute little robot slaves.

... Why would you enslave robots?

... Wait. You know what a robot is?

[nachetanya]

I only learned here. They're the same thing as AIs, right? Like Wheatly.

[ Actually, said robot is in the room, right? she looks around to point him out ]

Oh, right, there is a robot here. [JUST. forgets. sometimes.] I was about to be, like, "What kind of fucked up world managed robots before phones?"

Oh no, no! I'd never met a robot before now. Humans have never made anything else which is really alive. Other than other humans, of course.
