[Wednesday evening, as the posters promised, it is time for a group dinner!

Corrin and Asgore appear to have gone all out on this. There's not many materials to decorate the dining hall, but someone has found the candles in the storage closet and set them out on the long tables to try and replace the flickering fluorescent lights with something a little more peaceful. The spread is simple, but fairly varied; there's a few different kinds of soup and sandwiches, and even what appears to be a few simple homemade pies.

For now, the mood is warm and mellow. The hosts and helpers are milling around, making sure that everyone is comfortable and well-fed, but this is just a dinner party for now. Games and entertainment can come later, after everyone has utterly lost their minds from boredom!]

[After one such slam of the phone, Rose turns towards her with a frown on her face, clearly concerned.]

Are you okay?

I have literally never been okay in my life. [ugh] I can't get a damn signal. How am I supposed to tell my Twitter followers I've been kidnapped?

[barehands]

Not even once? [Yikes.] It probably makes sense that they don't want us telling anyone... Or maybe it's because of the blizzard outside.

The Borg Queen says this place was designed that way, to cut us off from the outside.

[casually drops nicknames without explaining them like a boss]

Um, the Borg Queen...?

[yourpiecenow]

... Oh, the chick running this place, I mean. Her title is stupid.

[barehands]

Oh, the Transmitter! Yeah... It makes sense that something like that would be true, even if it's kind of frustrating.

[But!]

I bet we'll find a way out really quick, though!

[yourpiecenow]

[rolls her eyes]

Oh, yeah, sure we are. Totally.

[barehands]

[She hesitates, but:]

Everybody I've talked to so far has been nice, so... I think we can all work together.

[yourpiecenow]

Good. That's something you can hold on tight to when we all lose our fucking minds and start murdering each other.

[barehands]

[Sigh!!]

You know it's going to happen. Isn't it easier to just accept that and work from there?

[barehands]

I don't, though! I-I mean, nobody can say that for sure...

I can. I'm completely sure. I would literally bet my life on it.

Because people are assholes. And, given the chance, they will always fuck you over to save themselves. Always.

[barehands]

[She hesitates for a moment, a sympathetic look coming over her face.]

I'm really sorry that's been your experience... That's awful.

And I'm sorry you haven't. Because that just means it's coming.

[barehands]

[But that's said mildly, timidly, before she continues on.]
