For anyone who decides to come, there's a good array of food laid out on the table. There are some small and simple cakes, cookies, and pastries, a healthy amount of okonomiyaki, okayu, and other Japanese dishes (with a focus on rice and eggs), along with curry. In addition, there are pancakes, and a large pot of soup. It looks like a few people collaborated to make enough food for everyone here.

Just like the meal they shared together earlier in the week, the candles from the storage room lend a more peaceful light than the fluorescent lights above.]

Don't mention it. People like him piss me off, assuming someone who looks the least bit inhuman immediately means to hurt people.

Yes. I have known humans like that in the past. I have not spoken with him since we first arrived...I suppose I had hoped that he would relax somewhat, as we spent more time here.

It wouldn't be wise to blindly trust everyone here, but there's still a need to work together, if we're to find a way out.

Continuing to blame us by default for anything will not help anyone in that. I am not sure if he still thinks I am somehow behind all of this, but...

...I hope that we have no more trials. But you and I will doubtless face suspicion from him, if so. I am not afraid that he will manage to rally the others against us; it is only an unnecessary and cruel distraction.

He claimed he'd confess, if he were in the same situation as that poor kid, but I'm not so sure I believe that.

So long as he doesn't start leaping to conclusions immediately.

There would not be any point to killing at all, if he meant to confess. [Which is kinda a rough thing to say, but it's true.] But until he does something, I am content to leave him be. If we cannot work together, we can at least not be outright enemies.

I agree. As long as he doesn't try anything, leaving home alone is the only way to approach this situation.

...He's just lucky he was right about Arietta, even if his hunch was because of... well. Not a pleasant thought process.

Hm, yes. I hope we do not have to see if he approaches other crimes the same way.

He cannot get the group behind him without evidence. But I do worry that the evidence may not be so clear, should this happen again.

No. I'd hope he's smart enough to understand that, but if he's going to jump to conclusion about nonhumans, that's not a good sign.

We don't need his weird aggression towards us to get everyone killed.

He did come to the party Corrin and I had. He may...well, if he does not come around, at least he may relax a little.

Of course, I think he did not eat any of the food I brought. [As if he would poison literally everyone? While they were his guests, at that?]

....He's really strangely paranoid. You'd think if he was going to worry about the food, he'd insist on only making his own.

Yes, well...if he wishes to trust the other humans, I suppose that is his right. I have been making most of my own food, but not for any reason like that.

The group is going to trust one another, at least somewhat.

He's not going to get far randomly picking people to be his enemy.

I hope so. We may all be strangers, but we will get nowhere if we cannot trust each other at least a little.
