Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

Greed definitely talks more to them than QQ does, so he would be a good judge of that. Was he pretty sure?

Rin could ask more, but it looks like Sakura has wrapped up her set. She'll be heading back this way in a moment to maintain her equipment, which means it's Rin's cue to go.]

You sound sure that it can't be fixed. If that's how all of your relationships are, no wonder you want to leave.

[Rin turns to leave, but gives him a smile over her shoulder.]

I hope either your memories prove that wrong, or if there's no escape, you find a better home to go back to. The universe is big enough; I'm sure somewhere there's a place even for you.

You know, if I'm telling you this much, I feel as if I should ask you to tell me about your position as "supervisor."

They are mysterious. Most humans don't understand a lot about them other than... their will to kill.

It would make it far more painless than simply waiting for them to drop out at random. And without a rule preventing us from doing so, we shouldn't be punished for trying.

[Against Rin's poise, Sakura feels tension line her back, but she obeys and sits next to the Tohsaka girl]

I asked him to rate between 1 and 10 how likely he thought it was we would die, and his answer amounted to 7.5.

[So pretty high.]

He's lived a long time, so I'm inclined to trust his gut instincts.

[Nachetanya is the first person to ask Rin about this, actually.]

It's pretty boring, most days.

Even so, I am a little curious. After all, you must have some responsibilities.

It is strange, isn't it? Usually you would expect to have at least a few magazines around for waiting patients to occupy themselves with; instead, we have something as out of place as a shooting range. It almost makes you wonder if this was meant to be a hospital to begin with.

I was. And while using canvas wasn't strictly necessary, I wasn't particularly concerned about wasting them, either.

[They were large and easy to keep track of while requiring little effort to mark up. That's really all he wanted.]

But you've been keeping track of the materials here in the art room, then?

Shuttles and ships are engineered specifically to handle the rigors of space travel, so they're quite safe, I assure you.

[Unless a giant robot comes to tear up your ship or something. Then you might be in trouble, but what are the chances of that happening anyways?]

You're always welcome to assist if you think I need some supervision. It wouldn't be the first time I've had someone hovering over my shoulder, at any rate.

[Not that he expects Kogami to take him up on it, but it's there.]

[And here Rin gets into Multi-Dimensional Refraction Phenomenon.

It's important to discuss, because judging from this conversation, she finds it likely they're from separate dimensions; timelines the slightest bit different. The only thing to confirm is where the split happened.

They start generally and as vaguely as possible at the beginning. What year Sakura was adopted. If the Fuyuki Fire happened or not. Other landmark events and some minor ones for consistency that they would both know, leading up into high school.

It's not until the start of the Fifth Holy Grail War the differences begin to show, though they only have so much to go off of. Rin's memories before she came to this place ended the night of February 2, and she's since regained memories of the 3rd through 5th, and jumping ahead to the 11th. She keeps the details vague, but even then the differences are clear to Sakura's memories up to February 8th.]

That answers that. [Rin remarks as they finish.] Conclusively, I might add...

Ahh. ...Yeah, that's too high. Not worth risking life over.

[ They can just try to get that info some other way. But man, that still sucks. ]

Then we'll just focus on stuff inside kitchen? Maybe vending machine will give someone something we can use to figure it out later.
