Week 3.
Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]
TUESDAY
INCENTIVE.
Well, that uncomfortable anticipation proves true when the PA system turns on just after noon. Like last Tuesday, the voice you know as the Transmitter's echoes and distorts, full of grim excitement. ]
'morning, folks! Meet in the media room in ten minutes. We have something you'll really- really want to see.
...And don't even think of skipping out. Unless you want an ear-splitting alarm blasted through the rest of the facility.
[ ...The Risen are back, so it seems. Head to the media room, and immediately you'll find a few interesting things there. First of all, there are envelops with each of your names on them, sitting in plain in front of the monitors nearest to the door.
The lights (and monitors) are on and nobody's home, but at least there's no annoying beeping noise. After a few moments, something else starts up, partly through the PA system and partly from the monitors? It's an energetic song, grainy as if it's playing through an old radio. The screen remains covered in static, and after a few seconds, the Risen start singing along. As they do, the audio itself distorts along with them. ]
You're keepin', too many secrets from me... But, baby, now I'm wise to you! Oh, secrets. We all keep them. Us, you, your friends - there is absolutely no exception. Right?
[ The lights...grow incredibly bright. Blindingly bright. The sound of static grows, along with...breathing...? It's impossible to keep your eyes open and see anything, but it sounds like something's...around you, behind you, everywhere. A whisper, in sing-song: ]
But we know them~
[ For a moment, you might think the overhead lights have shattered. Why wouldn't you, because that's the terrifying sound that comes next, and the lights in the facility are suddenly off. However, it seems to have just been on the monitors, because now, on each screen there's a fancy broken vase, laying on a carpeted floor.
Shadows move about, and it's clear people are rushing in and out from footsteps, but the focus remains solely on that broken vase. The top of the video's torn, and every few seconds it crackles and skips, the song skipping too, just background noise now to a child crying, wailing something about not telling. ]
We were so impressed with last week. All the frightened faces and lovely temptation? Mmm, delicious! Now, there's no reason not to keep that excitement building and building and building, like a...rising wave.
[ The voice distorts, and the video blinks. There's a scream, and the carpet is soaked with blood. The vase is nowhere to be seen, instead replaced with...bones. The song is different now, but it's incredibly distorted. ]
If you have something horrible you don't want others to know, this presentation is for you. Guys and dolls, if no one kills by the end of the week... No, by Friday. That's been such a lovely day so far, after all! Anyway, if no one does? Those sweet, sweet private matters you keep so locked in your hearts will be revealed, far and wide!
[ A crackle and the lights are off. The song's speeding up more and more, to an unnatural extreme. ]
But you may ask us, why, who am I to care if these people know? None - well, none for most of you - really matter to me! Oh, dears, that's what we anticipated. Everyone here will know...
...and everyone back in your homes will too.
[ There's a sound of children cheering, that starts and stops as if someone's rapidly pausing and unpausing it, and with it the video flickers and shakes until it's back to static. The voice is low and dangerous. ]
Rule Seven. Follow it, Patients...or your hearts'll be laid bare to everyone.
Have a good week!
[ And this little show is finished. The flickering lights return, the monitors shut off, and...the Transmitter's coughing, voice slipping in and out of that extreme distortion.
The PA system shuts off. You're on your own again. ]

[Wheatley seems...rather taken aback by the possibility of secrets being revealed. He takes the envelope rather nervously, but doesn't open it, after a moment pretty much tossing it back on the table]
No, I'm not opening that. I won't look at it. I won't.
[But after a moment he takes it and leaves. Well...yeah, there he goes]

With the exception of the hand still holding his envelope, that is - that is in the process of crushing the envelope and whatever's in it, though he doesn't seem aware of what he's doing.
It takes him a moment to shake it off; when he leaves it's abrupt, without any further reaction - regardless, it's obvious that he's not pleased with this.]
no subject
And then it's time to leave because she's not entirely sure what expression she's wearing anyway so better to just... grab some tea in the kitchen and lock herself in the room for a bit. Today is not a good day for socializing.]
no subject
Rubbish.
no subject
Had this happened last week, it probably wouldn't have bothered him as much, but after remembering what happened to Okumura... ]
no subject
She doesn't dwell on it for very long at least before looking around at the rest of the group. This one's pretty rough for everyone, isn't it?...]
no subject
That sure was a lot to take in.
After the presentation finishes, Lovecraft's just crouched down in one of the room's corners, staring at his envelope. Secrets? It doesn't come as a massive surprise, with how much the Risen already seemed to know, but...
He finally glances around, at all the shocked and angry faces among the others. How some of them simply storm out at this reveal. This one- this incentive... He can tell it's going to be much more difficult for the group to bear.
However, what he ends up mumbling isn't related to the the incentive itself at all.]
They are incredibly exhausting...
[Seriously, are these edgy, practically eye and ear-destroying presentations necessary?]
no subject
She takes the envelope and walks out of the room without another word.]
no subject
But she has to wonder how many people here would go so far as to kill for their secrets, and what kind of secrets are worth killing over. On top of that, to put a deadline on it...
There's no pretense anymore, and hardly any room for optimism. Before the week is out, someone is most definitely going to act on this. It's almost certain, and she's powerless to do anything before it.
She's not sure if that says more about her than it does the situation.
She takes one look at what's written in her envelope, and puts it back, unflinching. She wears that same look of vague disappointment that she bears throughout the trials. ]
... They're accurate. Or, at the very least, mine is.
no subject
Ah. She lets out a small laugh of all things, because she's made the executive decision that the Risen don't deserve her anger. ]
Fair enough.
no subject
Bastards. So they knew after all.
[ He stares down at the note for a moment, before turning around to face whoever is left in the room and just holding out the paper for anyone interested to read.
The only thing written there is 'Real Name: James Williams'. ]

he taps the envelope on his hand, looking around the room to see how other people are reacting. some people look... visibly upset. well then.
good thing Osomatsu got himself a frying pan, isn't it?]

Once it's over, he sweeps forward to take his own envelope. He'd like to say something, but people have already scattered - as very well they might. Later, then. The monster king holds the envelope without opening it, looking down at it with a furrowed brow for a few moments, and then turns to wander out of the room himself.
He doesn't think he has any secrets from anyone at home. Toriel, at least, he tells everything to. But there's still a few odd things he hasn't told those here...could that be what is in it?]
no subject
Except, when he does open it, it's not the secret he expects it to be, and for a moment the look on his face is... well, definitely bothered by it before he puts it back in the envelope and leaves the room.]

Wesker will be AWOL for a good portion of the day, really, once that's out there (probably shut in his room, who the hell knows with him) but later in the afternoon he can be found in the dojo; his clothes are actually sensible today, thanks to Sakura The Elder – they're black and made out of material that isn't fucking insane, though he's still got the weird leather collar thing on because apparently he can't be completely normal for more than five minutes. Either way, the outfit is decidedly easier to move in, which is nice because he sure has braced some of those mats against the wall and is punching the hell out of them in one of the most deliberate manners possible.
The strikes are hard and rhythmic, the sort of thing that comes from someone who's used to hitting for power and not for speed; once in a while he stops and steps back, one of his hands pressing into his chest for a moment. His breathing is labored, and his skin seems a bit flushed – not heavily so, but the sort of thing that implies a fever is building.
He takes a moment to get his physical reactions back under control before starting again; he's got entirely too much agitated energy, and not nearly enough outlets to get rid of it in this place.
The other place he can be found today is the infirmary, where he's going through pretty much everything in here without actually seeming to be properly looking for anything. It's literally just a matter of giving his hands something to do, and if that means re-organizing the veritable pharmacy's worth of shit we have in here, he is going to do it; he's still irritated and it's obvious, but this seems to be calming him down a little. Once in a while he sort of...tics a bit in a manner that he doesn't seem too able to control – and he hasn't been doing that since everyone woke up here – but generally speaking he looks decidedly less willing to wring somebody's neck in here.
Which is improvement over the rest of the day, really.]

After going to the incinerator to burn his envelope without opening it, Yusuke grabs the handful of coins he's got in his room and heads to the vending machine to see what kinds of things he'll get today. Most of it is junk, but when the last item - a painting - falls out of the machine, his eyes go wide and he claps a hand to his mouth in shock. ]

[ Later in the afternoon, he can be found in the pool. He mostly stays in the shallow end where he lazily floats on his back while looking up at the ceiling, but every once in a while he'll swim a lap or two. Exercise is important. ]

In the early afternoon, George can be found in the dojo, dressed in his pants and button up shirt only (if you don't count the ever-present sunglasses). The turban is off this time and so are his shoes, resting at the side of the room. George has put out some mats and is alternating between doing things like push-ups and practicing some simple martial art forms against the thin air. He doesn't seem to be thinking of any enemy in particular as he goes about this, just focusing on the form and movement of it.
His envelope with the secret lays next to his shoes at the side and could easily be picked up by anyone. George doesn't seem to mind that either, unsurprisingly, after he's already showed it off before.
Later that afternoon, he's found cooling down in the pool. You may find him in the men's locker room staring at the bathing suits in disgust or in the actual pool where he just hangs out in the shallow area, relaxing. His hair is still done up even if the wetness is not doing it much good. The sunglasses are on. Of course.
After that, you can run into him in the men's locker room again where he sprays a disgusting amount of hairspray around to fix up his style. Oops.
In the evening, George is found in the kitchen. This time he's wearing the nurse dress and his turban again, because this many outfit changes in one day are needed when you're sweating. Probably. George has pen and paper with him and seems to be trying to note down a recipe from memory, while checking for ingredients here and there. ]

MEETING kinda
So for several hours in the afternoon, he's sitting out in the external foyer, surrounded by extra blankets gathered up from the storage closet. There's a kettle on the coffee table in front of him, and far more cups gathered up than he needs for himself. He smiles at anyone who passes by, waving his paw towards the seats.]

"Wow, so this is how you go back and forth between worlds. Amazing."
"Hm? Oh no, it's actually not. I always travel through water."
"Oh. Then why don't we just go back the same way we came?"
"We can't. You and I are the only ones who can use water to travel between worlds."
What had Azura meant by that? How come she couldn't tell her the reason? Why was she keeping secrets from her? Surely they could trust each other, right?
Frustrations bubbling up, she flips around and kicks forward to do some laps to get rid of them... only to hit her head on the side of the pool—there's an almost audible "thud" when she does. She doesn't appear to be in great pain, but it seems like her self-esteem took a hit if her quiet mumbling is anything to go by. ]
Oh Gods, please let nobody have seen that...
