trustfelled | Week 3.

WEEK 3
Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

[It takes Krauser awhile to show up in the dojo. He's not surprised to find Wesker here. He'll watch for a little bit before speaking up.]

If those aren't giving you enough satisfaction, I'll spar with you.

[Because hitting a person just feels so much better.]

[It gets him to pause, anyway, and his breathing is heavy when he looks over but he'll manage words soon enough.]

...Only if you won't hold back at all.

I never hold back.

[Give him a moment to set the knife aside and then he's ready to go whenever you are!]

[Let's do this shit, then.

For all the physical indicators that Wesker is...probably not doing well, the flush and the labored breathing and the fact that he's uncomfortably warm to the touch, it oddly doesn't seem to be hindering him half as much as it should be; if anything, it seems to be making him more violent, his restraint is damn near gone, and this is satisfying in a way that he hasn't really experienced in a while, not in person, not outside his goddamn memories that he's getting back -

...

The knife may end up being necessary eventually to get him to stand down. Just to warn you.]

[He doesn't mind; he wasn't lying about not holding back any and he can keep up pretty damn well for awhile, but eventually he's going to need to stop and Wesker just... isn't going to. Okay. Cool. He'll eventually manage to maneuver back far enough to get the knife so he can hold that out. He needs a moment to catch his breath before he can explain himself.]

...This has been fun, but I'm done.

[It isn't until he sees the flash of the blade and takes a moment to register that that very much is a knife aimed in his general direction that he draws up; he's still incredibly tense, but after a moment he shifts back a bit. He still seems wary in some ways, keeping his attention on the blade as opposed to Krauser himself, but he'll respond eventually.]

...Of course.

[It's odd and a little blank, but at least he's staying back.]

Good.

[He'll put the blade away once he's sure that Wesker won't advance on him again and he folds his arms once he's done with that.]

Did that help any?

[He's still for a moment, clenching and unclenching his hands at his sides for a moment before abruptly shaking his head.]

...I don't know.

[Well you know what definitely won't help? Talking about it. So.]

I can spar with you again later tonight, if you'd like.

[He'll make sure to keep the knife on him though, just in case.]

[It's likely a terrible idea, honestly, his control is so off today-]

...I would appreciate it.

[He should probably be more concerned about Wesker's fever and how pushing himself like this isn't going to help, but he figures Wesker knows his own limits. If Wesker can't or shouldn't fight anymore, he'll stop, probably.

(And if he doesn't, then it's his own damn fault.)]

Are you going to take some time to cool down after that?

[Or are you going right back to beating the shit out of the mattress?]

[You don't care, but you're going to make sure he takes some time to- ...you know what, sure.]

It won't do me any good to do otherwise.

[So yes, he knows his own limits, kinda.]

You're so worked up because of the "incentive"?

[You can talk while you're resting, so he might as well verify that much. He doesn't see what else it could be, anyway.]

[He can, yes. He'll kind of be pacing a bit, though; he doesn't seem able to stand still very well for the time being.]

...It's going to become inconvenient for me rather quickly, if it's revealed.

[He's not surprised that Wesker's secret is that bad and now he's pretty damn curious, but he's not going to get an answer so he won't ask.]

They picked a pretty damn good incentive this time around. I can see a lot of people being tempted to act on this one.

Do you think I'm one of them?

[There's nothing pointed behind it; it's a question, nothing more.]

No. You wouldn't be this worked up if you were already planning on killing someone.

[Because then you'd be able to do something about it and having a plan is better than being powerless.]

...Good.

[It's not a direct confirmation, but it's close enough, he imagines.]

You'll know, if that changes.

Yeah. Good to know, though.

How much of a concern is yours, if others were to know it?

I don't care what it is, or if you're going to act on keeping it quiet. Just how much of a concern it is.

It certainly won't make things easy for me. I won't lie to you, if this gets out it'll be a problem.

[He shrugs a bit once that's out there though.]

But it's not something I'm going to kill over. If it gets out, I'll be prepared to deal with it.

Mine will be more of an inconvenience to me here than it ever would be elsewhere. I'm prepared for it to be unfortunate, it just won't be pleasant for a while.

Yeah, you'll make it through whatever secret you have.

[He has no doubts about that.]
