Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

Philosophy...? What did you talk to her about?

This and that.

[He just leaves it there.]

I guess it was private... Okay.

[A small nod. She's curious, but she won't push if it isn't something he wants to discuss.]

It wasn't too much. We just threw quotes at each other and I threw her off when she couldn't quite get the name of a certain philosopher I quoted.

[barehands]

I didn't know you were interested in philosophy! That's pretty cool.

[carnivorously]

It's a hobby of mine.

[He shrugs.]

[barehands]

Who's your favorite philosopher?

[carnivorously]

I don't really have a favorite, to be honest. It's just that I enjoy how deeply and profoundly they thought about life and how to live that I got invested in studying philosophy in general, especially given the utilitarian society I live in and how it's affected my life.

[barehands]

Utilitarian... Is it hard to live in a place like that?

[carnivorously]

I'm used to it. We're all wired to do what is best for the majority by my time, even those of us who have ended up discarded.

[barehands]

Discarded...? Is that what happened to you?
