Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

The last culprit didn't see it that way. That wasn't only revenge, but a chance to rid his world of someone dangerous.

If we had no enemy like that, though, we would not have suffered anything when the deadline passed. This one will harm everybody in some way.

Someone may get off easy. Different secrets have different weight.

Yes. Mine is...I do not think it is quite a secret. But it is also not something I much care to discuss with my people, especially when phrased in quite that way.

I already know what must be in mine. But killing for such a thing would be counterproductive at this point. Like Dickens said the other day, it's more for the Risen's benefit than the culprit's.

Yes. Though I do not see what they are gaining from it, save perhaps entertainment.

That's the question, isn't it? As long as they're inscrutable, things will remain as they are.

At least we can speak with them now. If only for a brief window of time on Tuesdays.

Have they been at all helpful?

Not in the least.

But it is still a better opportunity than no communication with them at all.

That's true enough. They'll let something slip. Someone always does.

They do not seem altogether interested in casual conversation. But that is hardly a reason not to engage them in it.

Annoying them into letting you go, are we?

No, no. I am simply reaching out to them!

There is no reason to treat them any differently from the Transmitter! She and I talk quite often.

[there is def a reason to treat them differently, but you know what he does not mind at all if the risen might show up less to try and avoid friendly goat kings]

I see. About anything interesting?

On occasion. She does not have much to do throughout the day, and no one to talk to save us and the Risen. Who do not wish to speak much to her, either.

Perhaps I ought to contact her more often. It does get dull in here at times.

It does, does it not...? I am used to being quite busy with one thing or another. Even a kingdom as small as mine takes quite a bit of work to run.
