Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

I haven't even looked at it yet... I can't really imagine it's something that extreme. My life was pretty normal before I came here.

[Which means she doesn't really have an interest in seeing what it says. She pauses for a moment.]

Do you have another match?
ossifragant: (Φ now it's just what i've become)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-21 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Sure do.

[He holds out the box of matches he was already using.]

[She takes it with a small, grateful smile, striking a match against the box once she has it out. The motion is careful as she brings the match to the envelope.]

Thank you.

...Um, you definitely don't have to tell me what exactly it was, but if there's anything you want to talk about - I could listen.
ossifragant: (⊗ place your bets)

Ahhh... it's just complicated.

[clearly]

It's not worth dying over, but it's one of those "how the hell did they find that out" things.

Yeah... It's weird how they know so much about all of us, isn't it? Even with the profiles.

[She glances at him, but looks back to the small flame every moment or so to make sure it isn't traveling too close to her fingertips.]
ossifragant: (Ò then the rabbits couldn't just come in)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-22 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
It definitely is. I don't know how something like this is possible. And yet here we are, in a situation where thinking too hard about it isn't going to help us in the least.

I don't think thinking about it could hurt, either, though...
ossifragant: (Ò from the dust of earth returning)

Nah, you're right. Whatever a person's convictions are probably doesn't matter as long as it helps them keep going.
