Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

Not in that way. [ He pauses to rearrange his scarf.]

I feel like I'll hurt him, somehow.

...If that's what you want.

[Sakura offers her a gift, and it doesn't sound like Rin care. It doesn't sound like she doesn't care either. It's like whatever Sakura decided, that would be fine. Or maybe worse, it would have no meaning.

It's not so straightforward in her head, however. Rin is as relieved as she wants to shake Sakura by the shoulders, for doing something so stupid. It's the Matou's choice, and she'll respect it, but this complicates everything.]

Really? So you don't care that you're a King?

[cadmiums]

[ He smiles. ]

I think you are pretty good at getting what you want.

Mmm.

[She lifts her head, so she can take the cup into her hands with a mumbled thank you. The warmth sends a tingle through her palms, stimulating her even as the aroma under her nose perks her up. Careful not to scald herself, Rin takes a sip and pulls back, delighted.]

It's good! You made it so fast, too.

[Usually you lose the quality that way. Rin's impressed.]

Is it really that strange? I think most people would say that they have something to keep them going.

Perhaps. But many more are lost, and you have seen combat.

That would be appreciated.

[At least something potentially productive came of this conversation. Better than leaving it on whatever awkward note they would have had before.]

There's not time to try. [Friday's tomorrow.] But I did do a few things in the kitchen. I can tell you about those if they interest you. Perhaps we can put our heads together and learn something.

Thank you! I haven't been brewing coffee that long, but I took to it pretty quickly. I prefer tea myself, though.

I bet he'll be in here later. You can ask him then.

[The fact that it won't matter somehow doesn't occur to Rin to say, despite the fact she very well knows the ultimatum she gave.]

Which are you better at making?

No - well, yes, but within the Underground. We went underground a very long time ago.

Really...? Well, I imagine there must be a reason it's listed there... From what I've been hearing, people are beginning to understand the inconsistencies in their profiles.
