Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

Nah, it's fine. Curiosity is a healthy thing, in my opinion.

Of course: archery is about precision, and there's something to admire in one's ability to focus and aim for the target they're trying to reach.

... And it doesn't involve broken bones from people tackling one another too roughly in trying to catch a ball.

[Horrifying, frankly, and Sakura's breath catches when she doesn't know what to follow up with. She'd expected something gentler, if only so one of them would have that comfort.]

That must've been terrifying.

[ Her eyes seemingly betray her, swimming with some fear as she responds, ]

It was. I remember trying to call for help, only to have its muscles shift to crush my throat.

[Kogami's secret makes sense, and in fact probably clears up a few things. And it's nothing that people would be terribly surprised about so whatever. However seeing reactions, it's clear a lot of people have secrets. Seems like the Doc has one that's really gotten to him. So Kogami will follow him out if he can... maybe catch up to him to see what kind of support he needs as he tries to reach out to grab the other man's shoulder. His turn to be the listener.]

[This plan is going wonderfully, in Wheatley's opinion. That's why he goes to the kitchen to bring all the lemons he can, and one of the few knives left to carve it if necessary.

Yeah, I don't think there's anything more important than keeping some sense of... normalcy, I guess.

Gotta keep the morale up.

[ Nachetanya will just be sticking with Danny then, and follow along as needed. She's still giggling at this. A lot. ]

[ Well, that certainly was an incentive. And there's a deadline, too... Somebody will definitely act on it.

After going to the incinerator to burn his envelope without opening it, Yusuke grabs the handful of coins he's got in his room and heads to the vending machine to see what kinds of things he'll get today. Most of it is junk, but when the last item - a painting - falls out of the machine, his eyes go wide and he claps a hand to his mouth in shock. ]

Wh...

[ Later in the afternoon, he can be found in the pool. He mostly stays in the shallow end where he lazily floats on his back while looking up at the ceiling, but every once in a while he'll swim a lap or two. Exercise is important. ]

Really? You wouldn't mind teaching me?

Of course not, Daniel-san. I'd love to.

[eagerly about to hand off her bow, though after a pause, she reconsiders]

Maybe we should get you your own bow. The tension on mine might not be enough.

Can't really blame you. These are specifically designed to get someone to act on them, after all.

[i mean he seems pretty calm about it, all things considered]

[He nods appreciatively.]

Good shot for your first time.

[It's downright impressive, but Krauser doesn't usually give out praise that easily, so take that instead.]

[Judging by Danny's own smile, it is taking some self-restraint to not laugh either as he'll go on Wheatley's behalf to pick out some of the chemicals here, before bringing them back to the foyer...]

Oh good, you brought a knife too. Excellent work, Wheatley.

Oh... in that case, I'll leave it to you to find the right one for us.

[He wouldn't know what would be considered "good" tension or not for him here.]

I'm out of cigarettes, but I'm going to try the vending machine again soon.

[He'll have cigarettes on Wednesday again.]

[When Kogami touches Danny's shoulder, the other man startles before he can potentially smother the reaction under his usual calm when he turns and sees who it is.]

Ah, Kogami... is there something that you wish to discuss with us?

[... He's assuming that this is about Kogami's secret because why else would he be reaching out to us right now?]

Do you know what it is that's waking you up?

There's a lot of things to gain. In my time, it allows you more opportunities to be recommended to the higher ranked ministries.

[That was his reasoning...]

It could be to inflate your ego to rise above others or you have something to prove to yourself or others.

I wonder if the Transmitter would tell us what it was if we asked... Probably not, but maybe it couldn't hurt to try.
