Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

I'm not here to make sure you hit the targets. This is your outlet-- use it like one.

[It's like Kogami and working out-- if he can get that energy out, then he's good. He'll calm down and start to think clearly. It's why he was beating the shit out of a mattress last week. It's why he's trying to swim everyday. The dojo isn't quite to his liking, but whatever.

Sakura has her outlet, and he's going to make sure she uses it.]

[She stops eating.

Well, more that she pauses with the cracker still in her mouth, starring blankly at a patch of table in front of her.]

I... I won't snap and hurt anyone, if that's what you're concerned about.

[She doesn't sound mad; just firm in her conviction.]

So can your co-worker tasing you to the point you're hospitalized for three days.

[He laughs. They've been close ever since, so...]

[He almost says no. It scares him a little that he even considers asking someone to stay.

If you don't mind. I think I need some time to rest and think about some things on my own.

[Oh my god, that's hilarious.]

...no. [Wheatley seems dispirited for a moment] I really don't like to think about it. It's nothing like you're thinking, but I--I don't want to talk about that.

[Looks like Wheatley is in profound denial. Doesn't help that pretty much the next day the very thing about himself he wants to deny is shoved into an envelope as a motive this week]

I've already explained. [She turns to go.] And that's all that needs to be said.

[Definitely, that's all she can bring herself to say here.

Aside from Nachetanya, she's not getting the reactions she wanted from this and it's making her uncomfortable. The meeting's not even over yet, but she's going to go. But if that dismissal didn't turn Greed off from talking to her again, she's not hard to find.]

Thought so. I think these are turrets and cubes mashed together? Somehow? It doesn't do much. Can't shoot bullets or...I don't think it can walk straight. Weird.

Was thinking stuff in sewing room can be used to attach rock to caterpillar? Can even make a small hat for it. That way we know it's definitely the same one we left.

[Kogami can probably guess what he means by "something else" other than killing someone here.]

[You truly are rather focused on this whole thing, Kogami. It's almost scary]

Why didn't you kill someone last week? That motive, the one about revenge, that'd have solved it.

The shape and mechanics are different, but it did seem like sailing through sea. But windier? And more, um, pressure.

[ She's trying to mime it out, but the most you can get out of it is likely "moves diagonally from ground to air". At least, that's what it looks like. ]

[But that's not the point of archery, she wants to argue. You empty your mind, you focus only on the spot you wish to hit, and then you turn that wish into reality.

For the masters, it isn't even a wish - simply an expectation they haven't yet utilized.

It's why she knows she won't hit anything, though she obeys Kogami's order. Her mind can't focus enough on the wish to hit the target, let alone pulling back the string. She's useless.

... So without a word, she disregards the bow all together, and grabs one of the crossbows. Loads it, takes aim, pulls the trigger--

It hits. Not the center, but it hits. Sakura barely seems to notice as she grabs another arrow from the quiver and loads it, eyes dark.]

... That would be a literal miracle where I'm from...

You keep it. I already have one, one's enough. I dunno why, but the one I got is terrified. I don't really understand why.

Mm! [Rin pulls her feet from the water, shaking them to dry them off.] Let's do it.

[She'll make sure they put on some damn shoes too to avoid tetanus.

[ So ships aren't obsolete! She feels some relief at that; boats are still great and it would have been sad to see them completely go. There's something picturesque about watching the sea pass by on the deck of a ship.

But 100 years... It makes sense, but it's sad to think that she likely won't live to see it happen in her own country, even when she does complete her mission. Alas, can't be helped. ]

Oh, a trip? Is it going to be a long journey?
