[Saying that Wesker is angry is vastly overstating his emotional reaction to anything that just happened; he quite simply doesn't feel anything, just cold and driven by method as opposed to emotion, and when notes are shoved under the doors this evening...well, it's really obvious who wrote them even if they're not signed, let's put it that way.]

This has gone on entirely too long for us to remain idle. The only way to defeat power is with more power; it's the one universal constant in this world. The only power we have right now is in our unity, and we need to utilize that to its fullest.

Grieve however you see fit, as mourning in this situation is warranted. But when you're all done crying we need to gather and we need to share information. Whatever you have that might assist us in this situation can and likely will be vital over the next several weeks.

This meeting isn't mandatory, nor is it something that many of you will necessarily want to do, but it's in our best interests to persevere despite our losses. Even if you have nothing to contribute – or if you don't feel like contributing, which is your prerogative – it's for the best to not be alone right now.

Meet in the dining hall. Food will be provided, as per usual.

That said, though, there will in fact be food! And also tea. Both are courtesy of Asgore, seeing as Wesker can't manage either to save his life. But they're there, and Wesker will...likewise be there in the dining hall and just seeing who shows up. Whether anything productive comes out of this has yet to be seen; somehow he doubts anything will. But again, there was an attempt made in the first place, and that's got to count for something.]

She did. Maybe that was her goal all along, I don't know. It seems... weird, doesn't it?

[Greed has always been a trusting man; the idea that someone would have such ill intent towards another after getting to know them is.... weird. Not something he can understand.]

The longer this goes on, the more I don't think I'm going to understand anyone who chooses to act on one of these "incentives."

The longer it goes on, the worse it seems. I had thought I knew her well...

It is easier for people to consider sacrificing strangers than those they have lived with for a month or more. I had hoped that with time, this would become less of a possibility.

After a month, it's hard to believe-- she was willing to sacrifice her own...

I wonder what'll cause all of this to stop now.

They have already offered us whatever we could desire, if you believe they would have granted such a wish. I fear they may turn to other methods. Threats, perhaps.

That does sound like the next step up for them, doesn't it? You've got to keep people killing each other somehow.

They could just as easily have brought fewer people, if they've no need for all of us. Perhaps they are only taking the souls in a way I cannot tell...

[This seems to be a pretty likely reason in his mind why someone might want to kill a bunch of humans.]

[Thankfully(?) he's talking to the round-requisite FMA character so Greed just looks confused and a little alarmed.]

Why would they bring us here to gather souls?

It is the only thing I can think of that they could stand to gain from so much death. Eight alone is...quite the number. But perhaps they reckon such things differently...

In my world, souls come with.... power, especially in great number. But we're talking in the tens of thousands; thirty people wouldn't really cut it for anything but... scraps, for a lack of a better word.

Hm. That is not the way it is in my world. It is said that a monster who absorbed seven human souls would become godlike. To take thirty - I cannot imagine what the result would be.

Maybe that's the difference-- what I'm talking about is humans using human souls. With the right knowledge of alchemy, souls can be refined into a crystal you can hold in your hand.

...I see. That must be it. In my world, a human cannot absorb a human soul at all. They could, in theory, absorb a monster one. But only one like mine. Boss Monster souls last a little longer after death.

....Sounds like it's not completely different, just a bit different in strength.

Still... I'd like to hope that's not what's going on here.

That would be for the best, if they are not building power like that...at least the dead may rest.
