even the thorn in your heart, in time it may become a rose
[ ...Well that was... certainly a thing that happened. Inigo isn't entirely sure what to feel about this at all; he's used to death to the point it doesn't really affect him much, but the entire thing was messed up and confusing nonetheless.
But in trying times like these, they need something to keep morale up, don't they? So shortly after the group leaves the courtroom, he decides to seek Cilan out and ask him for help.
A few hours later, Inigo slides a note under each occupied door: ]
(Name),
If you don't want to be alone right now or need someone to talk to, come to the music room.
There's food and drinks if you're hungry or thirsty and you're all welcome there.
We must persevere, and we must not forget that hope will never die.
- Inigo and Cilan
[ Since most people probably aren't going to want to be in the dining hall after... that, the music room is the best place for an afterparty. Moving those long tables didn't seem feasible, so he decides to grab some boxes from the storage room and stack them in a way that makes them vaguely resemble a table. There are chairs loosely arranged in the room, and he's set up a simple memorial of sorts by lighting two candles.
The food primarily consists of finger sandwiches and other light foods, plus drinks like tea (not chamomile, mind you) coffee and juice. Nothing overly fancy, but it tastes good. ]

She's just gonna. Grab a plate and sit somewhere she can see the entire room. Make sure everyone's okay, or at least a close facsimile.
Looking out for other people is so much easier than looking out for herself.]

[Isaac joins her, taking a seat nearby so he can watch the room as well. He's not sure it's really the right question to ask, but Fern's not looking too good and someone's got to ask, right?]
no subject
[It sounds fake even to her own ears.]
no subject
[It's not exactly gentle, because Isaac can't do gentle very well, but it's... attempting.]
It's a lot to take in.
no subject
Yeah. Yeah, it is.
This whole place is... hard.
no subject
[She knows it's hard on the kids and he's sure she knows it's hard on the others too, but it's good to repeat it anyway.]
I wish I knew what to say. This sort of thing... it's completely screwed up and none of us should be here. I... Sorry. I don't know what to say.
[He's not helping and he knows it. He's really bad at this.]
no subject
Its alright.
All we really need to know is that for all his talk, Juri hasn't held himself accountable.
no subject
[That gets him to settle a bit. He's not smiling, but the awkwardness has vanished and his words come a little easier.]
He'll have to be held accountable for everything someday though. It's not fair to put us through all this and then refuse to take responsibility for his own actions. If it doesn't happen like... like this, then we'll find a way.

[That trial kind of proved it. Not that he regrets shouting at Aligula of course!!]
no subject
...Aligula and Ferid are a problem though.

[Isaac reaches up to play with the stray strand of hair in front of his face as he thinks.]
...I don't really get what the deal with them is. I don't like any of those three, but sometimes I can have decent conversations with them. It's really strange. I think they just do whatever they want to do without caring too much about the consequences or how it'll affect everyone else.
Aligula's views on death are disgusting. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten so rude with her, but I don't regret it any.
no subject
Maybe they're just... I don't know, they have different views of this whole thing. I can talk with Aligula fine if she's not pushing for romance or... doing the stuff you yelled at her for. Which you were right to.
But Ferid's garbage.

She'll give Katniss a small comforting pat and stay quiet for a few minutes. Sometimes the silence isn't too bad.]
...You did good in there.
no subject
Yeah. Did a good job of pissing people off.
no subject
But keeping cool is... hard in a place like that.
And also fuck Ferid.
no subject
What'd he say to you, anyway, that made you mad?
... If you-- want to tell me. You don't have to.
no subject
He asked if my son was green too.
no subject
Why does he care, anyway?
no subject
...but he was on the right track.
no subject
... Yeah? [ She's not sure what else to say, but... it's a prompting sort of reply, to let Fern know she can go on. ]
no subject
maybe he couldn't tell he turned green either.
no subject
Maybe Ferid should really learn how to shut his mouth.
[ ... It's her way of giving her condolences. ]
