even the thorn in your heart, in time it may become a rose
[ ...Well that was... certainly a thing that happened. Inigo isn't entirely sure what to feel about this at all; he's used to death to the point it doesn't really affect him much, but the entire thing was messed up and confusing nonetheless.
But in trying times like these, they need something to keep morale up, don't they? So shortly after the group leaves the courtroom, he decides to seek Cilan out and ask him for help.
A few hours later, Inigo slides a note under each occupied door: ]
(Name),
If you don't want to be alone right now or need someone to talk to, come to the music room.
There's food and drinks if you're hungry or thirsty and you're all welcome there.
We must persevere, and we must not forget that hope will never die.
- Inigo and Cilan
[ Since most people probably aren't going to want to be in the dining hall after... that, the music room is the best place for an afterparty. Moving those long tables didn't seem feasible, so he decides to grab some boxes from the storage room and stack them in a way that makes them vaguely resemble a table. There are chairs loosely arranged in the room, and he's set up a simple memorial of sorts by lighting two candles.
The food primarily consists of finger sandwiches and other light foods, plus drinks like tea (not chamomile, mind you) coffee and juice. Nothing overly fancy, but it tastes good. ]

You don't leave friends to sulk by themselves. ]
Hey. Joined the party too, huh?
no subject
Yeah. Not much else to do.
[ She'd go smash some more plates, but like hell she'll go into that dining room anytime soon. Good thing she has a stockpile of food in her room. ]
no subject
That's true. Except maybe play 20 questions or something.
[ Obviously he's not being serious here... ]
no subject
Yeah. That'd be a really fun time.
no subject
Who could fault them, really? ]
It would. Probably not now, though.
[ ... ]
Maybe once we've taken it all in and everything. Something like that.
no subject
Something like that.
[ ... god. ]
This whole thing, it's-- worse. Than I thought.

I'll admit, I'm not going to give up.
But, looks like we got a hell of a situation on our hands. I don't remember even ever dealing with something as warped and difficult as this.
[ Probably because he hasn't!! From what he could recall anyway. ]
no subject
[ She's just a girl from the Seam, nothing special. How has she even survived a week, she wonders... ]
I'm not giving up, either.
no subject
Good. I don't think the folks back home would be pleased if we did.
[ He can hear Hanks now, telling him to get back already. ]
no subject
[ Gale, especially. Prim would... probably cry too much, way too much. Her mother.... she doesn't even know. Would her mother react? Would she break even more? ]
no subject
[ He smiles slightly, thinking of Repede and Flynn too. ]
Repede's probably dutifully waiting for me to get back-- although I'm not looking to someone I know probably ranting at me for taking so long and getting into trouble again.
[ That someone would probably be Flynn. ]

Well, usually anyway. Also, we've been together since he was this big.
[ He'll bring his hands together to indicate a small size, like that of a puppy. ]
no subject
... "Usually"?
no subject
[ He's still adjusting to Repede not being by his side the majority of the time. ]
Alright, that was a bit of a bad joke. But when we get out, you could always meet him yourself. If you don't mind canines, that is.
no subject
[ She's actually used to shooting dogs and taking them to Greasy Sae to put in soup, but. She won't shoot Repede, at least. ]
I don't know if he'd like me, though.
no subject
Well I can't say for sure if he'd like you, but I feel like he definitely wouldn't mind you. He could always warm up to you quickly too.

[ He'll give a slight smile. ]
Then, moving on, is Prim your sister?
[ He tries to vaguely what he'd seen on Katniss' profile. She was the only person she mentioned by name from where he assumes she came from thus far and he remembers something about a 'sister' being on there. ]
no subject
Yeah. Primrose, but she prefers Prim. She's twelve.
