Welcome.
You don't remember how you got here. It may be one of the first things to occur to you when you wake up, that you don't know when you got here, what you were doing involved nothing like this; granted, it's also possible that it doesn't matter – that whatever circumstances you last remember have nothing on the fact that this bed is really comfortable and the room around you is gently-lit. It's warm, but it's nowhere near where you're supposed to be. Whatever you think of it, the fact is that you can't stay there forever; there's a silver key resting on that trunk near your bed, and you might want to take it on the way out. It's no big deal if you don't, exactly – it won't lock automatically after you close the door, that has to be done manually – but it'll probably become clear that privacy is a commodity in a place like this. After all, you aren't alone; the hallway is likely quick to become populated with other people that are just as confused as you are. Go ahead and talk to them if you'd like; none of you will know exactly how you got to the building with the wooden walls and the odd windows that no one can see through, but that doesn't mean you can't get to know each other on the way to...wherever it is that you're going. Wander long enough and you may hear the chiming of a clock nearby. It's hard to tell whether it's telling you it's very early or very late at night, but checking out the room it's in eventually might be a good idea regardless; it's large and open, designed to accommodate social gatherings from the look of it, with the clock in question mounted against the western wall. It isn't the only thing here, though – there's a large frame set into the wall nearby, and it contains some information that might be relevant to your interests... Or perhaps your attention is drawn instead to the other framed information nearby; don't worry if you miss it in here, though. It's posted in every other room in the building. There's also the matter of the large double-doors at the end of the room; they aren't going to open, regardless of what you do. Looks like you're trapped here for the time being. Might as well see who's here with you, right? |

No one looks out for the younger generation.
[ She's not even going to touch the second part. ]

You must not live in a very caring world with an attitude like that! It's fairly known that the younger generation is the light of the future, the ones who will march on; why wouldn't we look out for them and guide their hand?

... Also an interesting idea, but Ferid cares too much for children to let them be wasted like that.]
You have my apologies and condolences then! That's certainly not a world I'd allow any of my charges to remain in, [there's better ways to use them if you get bored,] so I don't blame you for having a bleak outlook. That's horrible.

It'll never change. Ever.

Not with an attitude like that it won't~! Humankind has always found a away to tear the rug from beneath those who think themselves high upon a throne, arrogance their own undoing. It's fascinating to read about.
[Or would be, if reading was the least bit interesting.]

because he looks and acts like he's from the capitol. ]
Wow. You're right! When you put it that way, it sounds easy enough! Why didn't I think of that before?
Except it won't. Change. Don't delude yourself.

[It's her. She's the one. Katniss is going to be fun at parties.]
I'll at least invite you to mine, if no one else will.

Maybe they should've called you "Generous" instead of "Cunning."

Thank you, I'm flattered you'd say so! Resolute certainly fits you, though, you're quite unwavering yourself. Do you have any friends in that bleak world of yours?
[Or are they scared off by your curmudgeon self.]
no subject
She has like. One friend!! Two, maybe! ]
Yeah, actually. What, is that a surprise?
no subject
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little surprised. You don't seem to be the type of person to make them easily, after all, as pessimistic as you are~.

Making friends won't put food in my family's mouths.

[ "Hunter" is part of her identity. It's like it's been taken away from her, too. ]
no subject
Do you see his point, Katniss.
Friends. Be friendly. Etc.]
no subject
Fine. She can play nice. For now. Even if you're really goddamn creepy. ]
... Fine.

Then let's get along, Katniss~.
[Hella. Look, it's all going to shit when their captor arrives, but look. They're relatively okay right now.]
no subject
... Sure.
[ can she go now ]
no subject
Just his priorities.]
Well, this was a riveting chat, but the look you're giving me says you'd rather be eating than listen me prattle on.
[A small dip of his head.]
Perhaps we'll see one another later.
[be free, katniss
be free]
