[ After a hell of a trial, Katniss needs to focus her energy into something. So, the afterparty it is. Since she's not good at this kind of stuff, she's had some help. She'll pass out invitations to anyone she passes by, or she'll slip them under the door. ]



[ There is some food set up, but it's very much in sealed containers. Cookies, specifically, along with anything else she could scrounge up. There are very tightly sealed bottles of drinks, too. After that whole thing, she figures it'd be best to tread with caution. She won't blame anyone who brings their own food, of course.

There are fixings for smoothies, just in case someone's feeling it. Katniss has set up a couple of blenders around the game room. There's also some surf 'n' turf food, to honor Mack, too.

There are some decorations--courtesy of the guys, of course, because how the heck do you decorate for anything. ]

And that's what it is for me, too. Having executions custom-tailored is... kind of terrifying, honestly. Someone would've had to think about that beforehand, right?

Yes... they would have to know us well enough to customize those executions. It makes me even more curious about the mastermind's identity.

But... But you must still be alive, right? Since you're here. I'm pretty sure the Adjudicator can't bring the dead back to life. That seems like something he would've tried to motivate us with.

It isn't so far-fetched to believe he might be able to. He can let us go back in time and fix past regrets... Reviving someone wouldn't be so far out of reach.

[ Besides... ] I have to wonder if the Adjudicator took Maizono-san from a different point in time than my own. She's been dead in nearly all of my memories.

[glaciates]

Oh, right, Maizono...

Maybe there's more than one timeline? Terumi mentioned something kind of like that, so if the Adjudicator was able to take Maizono from that timeline before she died and took you from one after she died... that'd explain it.

I mean, we can't really rule out that he can raise the dead, but that's the sort of thing you don't fu— um... screw around with.

[TIMELINES, SURE. NECROMANCY, NAH. Granted, one of these is present in FMA, so.]

Whether he should do it or not, I wouldn't put it past the Adjudicator to raise the dead for his own benefit.

I find it more believable than multiple timelines, in fact.

...Raising the dead is believed to be possible in Amestris, but it's illegal, and for damn good reason. Human transmutation is supposedly impossible without bypassing Equivalent Exchange - even if you had everything to physically make up a human body, how do you make a soul?

[...it's something he's thought a bit about, um.]

Anyway, I think it might be possible even in my world, so in worlds with access to magic and stuff like that... yeah. It seems pretty doable.

[ She nods. Going by his world's rules, it would be nearly impossible to bring someone back. ]

My world has no access to magic. While we're fairly technologically advanced, we don't have anything like what I've seen the Adjudicator do or claim he can do. Unless someone created alternate timelines in my world, I can't wrap my head around it.

...I can see where some of this stuff would be unbelievable, then...
