you'll be alright, no one can hurt you now
[ After a hell of a trial, Katniss needs to focus her energy into something. So, the afterparty it is. Since she's not good at this kind of stuff, she's had some help. She'll pass out invitations to anyone she passes by, or she'll slip them under the door. ]

[ There is some food set up, but it's very much in sealed containers. Cookies, specifically, along with anything else she could scrounge up. There are very tightly sealed bottles of drinks, too. After that whole thing, she figures it'd be best to tread with caution. She won't blame anyone who brings their own food, of course.
There are fixings for smoothies, just in case someone's feeling it. Katniss has set up a couple of blenders around the game room. There's also some surf 'n' turf food, to honor Mack, too.
There are some decorations--courtesy of the guys, of course, because how the heck do you decorate for anything. ]

[ She watches him sew for a while. ]
Not really. I heard it a lot back home, but it doesn't ever feel real.

It's odd, isn't it. Being someone who changes her surroundings so much. [...] What did you hear it for back home?

Being the face of a rebellion, mostly. [ Her expression flickers. ] A lot of people died for that, though. Because of my spirit.
[ Because she survived the games twice and become a symbol. ]

They supported a cause they thought was right, and people tend to not mind dying so long as they think it wasn't in vain. If you've succeeded, then you've honored their wishes and their beliefs. Their own spirits that were brave enough to try, that were inspired by you.
[... Many wars are that way, for humans, and Ferid wonders if their situation could foster something like that. It's every person for themselves, after all.]
It isn't unusual, back home, but I think it's different being the one in that spotlight.

They were brave. [ Finnick. Boggs. Cinna. Jackson. ] If they hadn't died, they'd be alive. [ ... But as she says that, she looks conflicted. If they hadn't died, would they be any better off? If she hadn't done the things she'd done, what would be going on in Panem? More Games. More children dying in cold blood for the Capitol's sick amusement.
... But it's still hard to reconcile. ]

[... Actually.]
That sounds a little harsh, doesn't it~. My apologies.

Signs point to yes, Katniss thinks, as she thinks on her memories. ]
No. It's okay. It's true--they died for a lot. And it was worth it, I guess.
[ No more Games. No more Snow. No more Coin. ]
