[ After a hell of a trial, Katniss needs to focus her energy into something. So, the afterparty it is. Since she's not good at this kind of stuff, she's had some help. She'll pass out invitations to anyone she passes by, or she'll slip them under the door. ]



[ There is some food set up, but it's very much in sealed containers. Cookies, specifically, along with anything else she could scrounge up. There are very tightly sealed bottles of drinks, too. After that whole thing, she figures it'd be best to tread with caution. She won't blame anyone who brings their own food, of course.

There are fixings for smoothies, just in case someone's feeling it. Katniss has set up a couple of blenders around the game room. There's also some surf 'n' turf food, to honor Mack, too.

There are some decorations--courtesy of the guys, of course, because how the heck do you decorate for anything. ]

[Mozu doesn't come to the games room... much at all, actually. She wants to be social, really... but she has to let Muk and Sharpedo know what happened to Brady, which...

...yeah. She's going to be in the kitchen for a while cooking for two extremely sad Pokemon sitting in the dining hall (and one Mightyena that's busy going at a feather boa Mozu decided would make a good hyenadog toy), although if anyone has any requests, she'll be happy to take them. She's also making some chicken soup for Fern, because while she's pretty sure it doesn't work that way for gaping wounds it's... it's good for the soul.

After that's taken care of, she does take the Pokemon up to the pool for a bit for Sharpedo's sake, since... well, Muk can relax beside the pool, she guesses. After they've all had time to quietly mourn together, Mozu finally shows up at the game room, where she's... well, more of a wallflower than usual, mostly because she's kind of tired. Not tired enough to fall asleep, but tired enough that she doesn't really feel like initiating social interaction.]

[ Early on in the evening, Katniss searches for Mozu. She doesn't find her anywhere--except for the kitchen. ]

Mozu?

[...I mean, she's cooking, so she's not in the worst mood...]

Hi, Katniss! ...sorry I didn't show up at the party right away. I have some cooking to do first.

[flagitate]

It's okay. Who're you cooking for?

[ It smells delicious, but that's not really unexpected...! ]

[andneversaydie]

Well... I had to let Muk and Sharpedo know what happened to Brady, so... they're not doing too well. I figure a nice meal might perk them up a bit, and I'm going to spend some time with them before going to the game room.

I'm also making some chicken soup for Fern, since... it's good for you.

[flagitate]

... Yeah. They really liked him.

[ The whole thing's leaving a sour taste in her mouth. Those poor Pokemon... ]

You're really good with animals, Mozu. [ She'll start up a bit of tea. ] I bet she'll like that. Especially since she's stuck in the infirmary.

[andneversaydie]

Yeah, I'm sure they did. And... honestly, this is pretty much my first real time working with them seriously or not, but they think a little more like people than most animals, I think, so it's easier. There's not as much time spent trying to figure each other out.

[flagitate]

Yeah. They're really smart, right? I was surprised. Even more than when I met the giant floating shark.

[andneversaydie]

I mean, a lot of animals are a lot smarter than you'd think, so I'd say the giant floating shark was a little more surprising on my end.

[flagitate]

[ ... a laugh here. ]

What, you don't have animals that randomly float back home?

[andneversaydie]

...You know, I'd say no, but for all I know, we could. The world's a heck of a lot bigger than you think it is when you've been in one place your whole life.

[flagitate]

I wish I could say the same for my home. Panem's the only country that's left, and it's not that big--especially if you're on one of the Capitol's trains.

[andneversaydie]

Really? That... seems kind of impossible, but I guess a lot of things are when you get down to it.

[flagitate]

It sounds pretty crazy, yeah. But there was a disaster that wiped out the rest of the world. I don't know how the country that'd be later renamed Panem survived, but it did.

[andneversaydie]

Gosh, it's hard to imagine something like that. I mean, I guess it's possible, but... that's just too much to imagine.
