Week 1

WEEK 1

Unfortunately (or fortunately, for those of you who decided he ranks at an 8 or higher) the Adjudicator has made an appearance and he doesn't seem to be lying about anything that's happening here. There's no way out. It seems like you're stuck here for the time being and the rules the Adjudicator told you about are still hanging in every room. While the Adjudicator himself is around, you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Competitors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge.

You'll notice that the clock in the foyer goes off periodically, however. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in; it seems it's being piped in over that PA system in the walls. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you?

(Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.)

COMPETITORS REMAINING: 30

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]
cilantro: (this reminds me of a puzzle)

[There will probably be leftovers if not all of it is eaten but you know what, Cilan's food still tastes great even when it's just leftovers so that's not too much of a concern for him here.]

Yes, I am: back home in Striaton City, my brothers and I have our own restaurant that we manage, doing the best we can to serve our customers with delicious meals every time they visit.
myfedorarocks: (♣ nothing more to trust)

[But the food is so tasty, it'd be a shame not to eat it!!]

That's impressive.

I'm just a home cook; I can't do anything quite like this.
cilantro: (truly enlightening)

[personal profile] cilantro 2016-07-05 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
There's no shame in being a home cook: in fact, some argue that, while it may not be restaurant-quality, it gives their cooking a more familial flavor by comparison.

[So take pride in your cooking, good sir!!]
myfedorarocks: (♣ innocence is ugly)

[personal profile] myfedorarocks 2016-07-05 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well aren't you a nice guy!! He appreciates it.]

Maybe I'll cook for the group at some point.
cilantro: (tea time is always a good time)

[personal profile] cilantro 2016-07-06 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, you absolutely should! I'd be interested to taste your cooking in comparison to mine.

[And sometimes, that's honestly the best way to improve your own skills, y'know?]
myfedorarocks: (♠ every way i turn the same disease)

[personal profile] myfedorarocks 2016-07-06 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
It would be an interesting experience, if nothing else.

My daughter likes my cooking, but that's not really the same thing.

[Also she's ten, so.]
cilantro: (unfairly attractive fictional character)

[personal profile] cilantro 2016-07-06 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, sometimes the best judge to have when it comes to cooking is a family member, I think. Their taste is often the one that matters the most, personally speaking.

[If his own brothers wouldn't eat it, how would he expect a customer to do the same?]
myfedorarocks: (♣ innocence is ugly)

[personal profile] myfedorarocks 2016-07-07 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Even if I'm no professional chef, more than one cook has its advantages.

I'm sure my daughter will appreciate my practicing.
cilantro: (smile #345406480)

[personal profile] cilantro 2016-07-07 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed. [Hmm] So tell me, what kind of dishes do you like to prepare, if you don't mind my asking?

[Give us deets on the meals you've cooked before!!]
myfedorarocks: (♠ every way i turn the same disease)

[personal profile] myfedorarocks 2016-07-08 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Have a list of vaguely British dishes!

None of them are very fancy-sounding, but hey, he's a dad and a scientist, cut him some slack!]
cilantro: (if a ducklett crosses the road...)

[personal profile] cilantro 2016-07-08 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, those sound like they have a unique flavor to them...

[Unova tends to lead more heavily on American-style cuisine, with some Japanese and French dishes occasionally too, so... yeah, British is probably pretty unique by comparison?]
myfedorarocks: (♠ i'll continue to deceive you my friend)

[personal profile] myfedorarocks 2016-07-08 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll have to see if I can cook any of them, I may as well, since it seems like we might be here for a while.
cilantro: (my burgundy senses are tingling...)

[personal profile] cilantro 2016-07-09 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Personally speaking, I hope that we will not have to stay here for too long, but in the meantime, I don't see any harm in trying to make the best of it, yes?

[At least until we reacquire our Pokemon and then maybe we can consider what risks there might be to trying to leave, then.]
myfedorarocks: (♣ in the one who is guilty)

[personal profile] myfedorarocks 2016-07-10 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course.

With any luck, we'll only be here for a few days at most. We're bound to find a way out of here eventually.
cilantro: (but do we have enough tape for that...)

[personal profile] cilantro 2016-07-10 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree: if I could just relocate my Pokemon, I'm certain that we would be able to quickly find a method that would allow us to return home that much sooner...

[But until then... we'll just have to wait and see.]
myfedorarocks: (♥ i am just a man fighting)

[personal profile] myfedorarocks 2016-07-10 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
What do they look like?

[At least he's already had the Pokemon conversation with Archie.]
cilantro: (tea time is always a good time)

[personal profile] cilantro 2016-07-10 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh good, you get to avoid listening to an essay-length response about Pokemon in that case.]

Pansage, my partner, is known as the "Grass Monkey", and as such, it looks like a green monkey with leafy foliage growing from the top of it's head... you really can't miss it, what with it's friendly appearance and sweet fragrance of confidence...

[Have you seen anything like that around here recently?]
myfedorarocks: (♥ all of what remains)

[personal profile] myfedorarocks 2016-07-10 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[He nods, thoughtful.]

I haven't seen anything like that around here, but if see it, I'll let you know. I suppose if it's wandering around here somewhere, it'll bump into you sooner or later.
cilantro: (unfairly attractive fictional character)

[personal profile] cilantro 2016-07-11 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
I certainly hope so! Like I said, it's one of my dearest companions, so I'd like to see them again soon and make sure that they have been alright in my absence.
