Week 1
Unfortunately (or fortunately, for those of you who decided he ranks at an 8 or higher) the Adjudicator has made an appearance and he doesn't seem to be lying about anything that's happening here. There's no way out. It seems like you're stuck here for the time being and the rules the Adjudicator told you about are still hanging in every room. While the Adjudicator himself is around, you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Competitors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. You'll notice that the clock in the foyer goes off periodically, however. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in; it seems it's being piped in over that PA system in the walls. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) |

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]

[It's a bit of a blunt question, but it's always good to know this sort of thing, right?]
no subject
[how comforting!!]
...But just to be safe, I'd stick to leaving notes or something.
no subject
I'll be sure to keep that in mind--thank you very much.
[...It still feels a little odd to say that, but she's just gonna shake it off and smile.]
Out of curiosity...would you happen to be on that list of people who can play instruments?
no subject
[he's from headcanon hicksville, there wasn't much of anything tbh.]
Angel seems to think I'd be good at harmonica though.
[THE MENTAL IMAGE IS KIND OF HILARIOUS]
no subject
[...A huge guy like him, playing something as tiny and dimiutive as that.
Sayaka's imagining it and it's hilarious. That'll definitely get her to giggle a bit!]
Well, it'd make for an interesting bit of contrast! Tall, intimidating man...tiny, silly sounding instrument! [Another polite giggle.] Honestly, Angel-san sounds like she's thinking in the right direction!
no subject
[>Willing to spend literal years learning chemistry and alchemy
>Not willing to spent time learning the harmonica]

[DON'T QUIT, NEVER QUIT DAMMIT. Her face is completely serious...
Before going back to a grin.]
But I can understand what you mean. It's best to find what you're interested in, and take that by the horns with full force!
no subject
[Seriously, there is so much failure involved in this it's actually impressive. But on the plus side he didn't lose an arm and a leg trying to transmute a person!!!]
I take it your singing career's the thing you put all your determination into?
no subject
[At least he's not a living suit of armor with a teenage voice? That's always a plus side, if nothing else.]
Of course! I wouldn't be where I am today if I didn't put the effort into it--so many people can try their best to reach for the top, but it takes a real effort to succeed in music. If I couldn't--
[She stops herself quickly and changes tracks.]
I'm just so glad my efforts paid off! And that I got to make such good friends from it, too...
no subject
That's great to hear. I'm glad you've made a lot of friends with it. Hopefully you'll get to go back to them soon.
[But that doesn't seem possible right now, so...]
no subject
[Sayaka looks away when she says that, a bit of a somber look overtaking her.]
Before I came here, I was invited to a prestigious school...I'm going to have to say goodbye to them for a bit. I just hope everything will be okay for them.
[Sayaka pauses, before looking back.]
What about you? Do you have friends waiting for you at home?
no subject
[AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE...]
I don't have friends in the military, but my fellow State Alchemists aren't all that bad. They're all kind of weird, but I think that's an alchemist thing.
[Isaac is also kind of weird.]
no subject
[Maybe. Would they have been accepted as a group, or would they be competing to see who the best idol was? Could they all be the Ultimate Pop Sensation...?
...She doesn't want to think about that, no siree. Competing with people who are practically her sisters...no way. ...Wait, military...?]
...I'm still kind of confused on what alchemy is. [All she got was that water was gonna be involved, it didn't happen, and now they're employed by the state...? ...Sir, she is so lost, but she isn't judging.] It sounds powerful, from what you've said about your own, but...could I ask what it is you all do? Do you all have the same abilities, or...?
no subject
[He actually sounds sort of proud of it! It really is his biggest accomplishment.]
As for alchemy itself... it's basically manipulating matter or altering it. So while I can't create water - because you can't create something from nothing - I can change it using my alchemy. While I usually focus on freezing, I'm capable of boiling water with my array as well.
[That sounds about right!]
no subject
[There is still so much ??? involved here, like you don't even know. It. Kind of sounds like magic? But less...magicy? She's not quite sure how to describe what she's thinking. She's definitely a curious kind of confused, though.]
How do you decide on an array and what it does? Does it respond to what you're thinking...?
no subject
My array can be used in a variety of ways, but it ultimately depends on how I manipulate the elements within water. It's not really reacting to my thoughts so much as it is how I force a change within it. It's kind of difficult to explain, but it's a science. Not magic.
[A CERTAIN SOMEONE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT!!]
no subject
Sir, you pretty explicitly said it's not magic so she's not gonna say anything, but that sounds quite a bit like magic. How...what...]
I think I'm starting to understand it, but...when you manipulate the water--how do you decide whether to make it freeze or boil? Do you have to use a certain part of it to do either?
no subject
It's uh... it's kind of hard to explain. It's based entirely on what I decide to do with it, so it's not like it happens randomly.
[in other words i have no goddamn idea how isaac's alchemy works and i'm just bullshitting like the wind!!]
no subject
[Sayaka giggles a bit, shaking her head.]
That's okay--in that case, I hope I can see a successful attempt at it one day.
[...Her look goes slightly devious at the thought of something.]
...It's kind of a shame your powers don't work, and we don't know much about where Adjudicator-san hangs around. I'd ask if it'd be possible to freeze some of the pipes leading to his shower, but it probably wouldn't work that well...
[She can dream, though!]
no subject
[He'd also probably know it was Isaac anyway, because seriously. He is exactly that petty!!
...But on the other hand he could just blow up the pipes or something, so uh.]
Believe me, I wish I could.
