Week 1
Unfortunately (or fortunately, for those of you who decided he ranks at an 8 or higher) the Adjudicator has made an appearance and he doesn't seem to be lying about anything that's happening here. There's no way out. It seems like you're stuck here for the time being and the rules the Adjudicator told you about are still hanging in every room. While the Adjudicator himself is around, you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Competitors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. You'll notice that the clock in the foyer goes off periodically, however. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in; it seems it's being piped in over that PA system in the walls. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) |

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]

[Thank you for the adjustment there, he had not been entirely sure at first. So what comes next?]

Show me how you would use the bow without actually playing.

[He brings the bow up and holds it just a hair above the strings of the violin. There's no specific place regarding where the bow is hovering above, and as for the hand holding it, there might need to be a slight adjustment, but otherwise this is how he's currently got it positioned as he then imitates how he would move the bow against the strings without actually touching them. That discordant noise made earlier had caused him to consider that maybe he had been putting too much force or something into it, so his movement now seems slower and lighter.]
Ah, how's this?

Now try playing a note again.

[... Why he feels the need to say that first is a mystery but here he goes with the attempt to move the bow against the strings now. Thankfully, it's not quite as jarring and discordant as the first time he attempted to play, but it is clearly the music of someone who is an absolute beginner at this...]

Remember how that position feels. That's the first step. [ She pauses, thoughtfully. ] I wonder if we have any beginner lesson books in here.

[I mean, unless Juri was somehow expecting every person here to be a musical genius or something...]
no subject
Although... I wouldn't be too terribly surprised.

[He can't say "as far as everyone is concerned" because of people like Ferid and Aligula, but at least most of us are sane here...]

Exactly... I wouldn't be surprised if any opportunities at more cruel jokes were taken.
