Week 8.
Despite the week of peace - or in some cases, because of it - it seems that the stream of deaths is going to continue unabated; if anything, there's been a sharp uptick this week. Yuri Lowell, Angel Hyperion, Naoto Shirogane, Aymeric de Borel, Isaac McDougal, and Ferid Bathory have all joined the deceased. In one week, you've dropped from over half your original number being alive, to almost two-thirds being dead. But surely things can only go up from here on out, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Another set of doors has opened up, once again branching off of the eastern corridor and leading toward the south. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've definitely earned it this week. |

Since Jean's investigating in the chapel, it's natural that she'd run into him. She's not actually against defacing the church on principle, but...]
Terumi, do you want to get cursed? Because that's how you get cursed.
no subject
Aww, thanks for your concern Buttercup, but shit like that doesn't bother me. [ He shrugs offhandedly.]
Don't think another curse would do what the first couldn't~.
no subject
So, are you collecting curses now, or is there another reason you've decided to redecorate the chapel?
no subject
But no, no, there's a reason for this. [ Like most of the things he does, actually.]
I guess you could say even I have someone I fight for, shocking huh?
no subject
... well... yes, actually. That does surprise me. [She pauses in her search of the room for a moment to get a better look now.] A god?
no subject
What do you think? [ He's grinning in a cocky way-- it's not something he usually throws out there, but he is in a good mood so he'll tell her regardless of her guess.]
no subject
They bear more than a passing resemblance to some of the writings in the old ruins and temples, but not enough to draw a direct translation -- and Jean never bothered to learn that language when their leader was an archaeologist. But she takes note that it's long, and with the complicated characters you would reserve for a full word.]
... it looks like a very long name, or title. And since you thought it appropriate enough to write in a chapel... it should be a god, or something comparable in reverence.
no subject
It's a bit complicated, Buttercup. But one of my original vessels is the Susano'o unit. There's some preachy wannabe hero in it right now, but I was thinking-- I really should take it back after all this time, I've been generous enough~.

[That's not her real guess -- he's already bragged about doing things that should be in the domain of the gods, and she's already well-acquainted with the idea of reincarnation and the body as a vessel.
But you know what, she'd rather get it wrong by underestimating him than overestimating him. She'd never hear the end of the latter.]

How does that work, then? I've heard of reincarnation, but... not something where you could just pick a body.
no subject
Wouldn't call it reincarnation either.
