Week 8.

WEEK 8 Despite the week of peace - or in some cases, because of it - it seems that the stream of deaths is going to continue unabated; if anything, there's been a sharp uptick this week. Yuri Lowell, Angel Hyperion, Naoto Shirogane, Aymeric de Borel, Isaac McDougal, and Ferid Bathory have all joined the deceased. In one week, you've dropped from over half your original number being alive, to almost two-thirds being dead. But surely things can only go up from here on out, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Another set of doors has opened up, once again branching off of the eastern corridor and leading toward the south. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've definitely earned it this week. [Oh right, Inigo stayed over.

The laughter dies off when he hears Inigo speak up, but it is still a few seconds before he actually speaks. He has an arm laying over his face too, obscuring part of it.]

I am a goddamn fool. That's all.

Did you remember something unpleasant?

[ He sweeps his hand over his face and rubs tiredly at his eyes. Why did he have to wake up so abruptly... ]

Only that I keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

[Yeah, he's rubbing at his face now. He's wide awake, but he is also exhausted, because it is too early.]

Do you want to talk about it? Good ol' Inigo's always willing to lend an ear.

[For a moment he considers saying no, but he remembers what Yuri said to him last week, about building friendships. So he sits up and looks at Inigo with a serious look on his face.]

We haven't exhausted our possibilities for escaping.

[ Good job, Luca. You've learned a thing about the value of ~friendship~. ]

Luca is moving to grab his notebook, and eventually ends up sitting on the edge of his bed, though he will be facing Inigo. He flips it open to the map he drew, and then holds it up for Inigo to see.]

This is the most I have done that is actually work towards trying to escape. I wasted my time on this nonsense when I could have been trying to actually do something!

...I don't really see how it's nonsense, if you want me to be honest. [ It's not like anyone else has made much progress either. ]

So did you come up with an idea on how to escape?

...not yet, no. Though as far as I know, there are only two ways we have not explored yet.
