Week 2.

WEEK 2 With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 28

Those are for people who've lost a lot of blood.

[ She's in the middle of pulling down a (surprisingly hefty) jar of burn ointment. It's incredible that the Adjudicator was nice enough to give them this. ]

...How does that work? Does a healer put the blood in the injured person?

[flagitate]

It's more like a doctor uses this cord thing and a needle, sticks the needle into the person's arm, and the blood goes in.

[ ... look, she doesn't really know, she's not Prim or her mom. ]

[passional]

...That sounds awfully complicated. [ You can practically hear the "????" ] Then again, I'm used to staves being used to heal injuries.

[flagitate]

It's not really that complicated, when you see it. Probably.

[ ... ]

Wait. How do they heal injuries?

[passional]

Magic. The healer simply raises their staff and concentrates on healing the wounded person.

[flagitate]

The healing back in my home doesn't sound like that at all.

Does it hurt? When they get healed?

[passional]

Sometimes it stings a little when a wound pulls itself shut, but it's more uncomfortable than painful.

[flagitate]

And it just... it's gone? Just like that?

[passional]

Yeah. Sometimes a scar is left behind, but in most cases it heals perfectly.

[flagitate]

Huh. I wish I could get some of that. Sounds like a miracle.

[passional]

...Maybe once we get out of here, I can get you a few staves? Though not everyone can use them...

[flagitate]

Maybe.

[ She shrugs. ]

I don't have magic back home.

[passional]

...Ah. The ability to use magic is something you're born with, in my world.

[ no healing staves for you, katniss. :( ]

[flagitate]

[ damn. all she has is her salt to sustain her. ]

My sister's healing is its own kind of magic, anyway.
