Week 2.
With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]
TUESDAY
INCENTIVE.
I've got something for you today. You've got ten minutes to gather in the foyer.
[...Not like it really matters if you show up or not; you'll be able to hear him throughout the halls regardless of where you are. He's using the public-address system for a reason, after all.]
Sounds like a lot of you have troubles that you're trying to fight against back home, some more personal than others. I've got an offer for you that might help you out a bit.
Anyone who manages to complete Rule Seven this week will receive something of a bonus – I can offer you the chance to change something about your situation back home. Any one thing that you want, no matter how difficult it might seem.
If you're going to ask how, keep in mind that I brought you here in the first place, and what I've already shown myself capable of doing. Altering situations is what I do.
Just something for you to think about.
[And it seems like that's going to be all, as far as public speaking goes; any attempts to yell at him through the intercom will be met with silence.]

Oh my. Are you getting tired of waiting on us?

That's a hell of an offer, isn't it? Assuming it's true, of course.]
This is ridiculous.

Well, there's certainly not anyone who's going to be happy with that -- except maybe the one who's going to be killing this week, if anyone steps up to the plate, but with an offer like the chance to change something about your situation back home, no matter how difficult...
Ferid is wisely keeping his mouth shut on first impressions, humming thoughtfully instead as he leans against a chair. Who would be most likely to kill for that chance, he wonders.]
no subject
Guess he's not even going to pretend he doesn't want us to kill each other now.
[She's trying to brush it off but. She's shaken.]

My regrets but it looks like I will have to pass on your offer.
Re: INCENTIVE.
[Naoto looks to the ground. Change anything, huh. No, Naoto can't kill anyone. She couldn't...
...
...the other night's dream may contradict that, it seems, but that doesn't mean Naoto would kill anyone! Come on...]
...I'm not going to fall for something like this.

Granted, there was a situation he'd like changing back at home. But. ]
...And kill someone innocent for it? No thanks.
no subject
She's torn. On one hand, she doesn't trust this guy. On the other... What if she could change the Hunger Games? What if she could make it so they never happen?
... She's shaking. Just a little bit. ]

No, it wouldn't have been normal, would it? Jack would have found a way. There was no ideal world to be found just by changing one thing. Unless she asked for Jack to have never been born, which... would also stop her from having ever existed, so.
Regardless, Angel just sort of stands there for a little while, lost in thought.]

When it's over, he immediately turns and leaves the foyer without a word. His gaze stays forward, effectively pointed away from everyone else. Whether this means he is simply deep in thought, or something else, will just be a mystery.]
no subject
But could he kill for that chance?]
That is...
[He looks around quickly, to see how others are reacting. Is anyone else tempted by this too? Luca wants to see who the potential dangers might be.]

You have like, three guesses as to who's put this up apparently during the night, and the first two don't count.
In preparation of the event, Ferid is once again in the music room, this time ensuring the instruments are in proper working order, tuned and ready to be played, and he has a piece of paper atop the piano for anyone who wants to sign up for the event!!
To play!!
Otherwise it's just him and that's kind of gonna kill a two thousand year old's wrist, though amazingly he seems fine?
He can also be found wandering around, looking specifically for those he knows are into music to see if they'd like to sign up themselves. But it's not like he'll wave anyone away if they want to ask about the waste of paper.
Haha incentives. Who cares. He clearly doesn't.]

It would seem that the motive bothered her, but not in the way that it bothered everyone else: something already changed where she's from. She just . . . can't figure out what it was and what the heck stupid 60s surf movies have to do with it.]

After the whole announcement shindig is over, Archie wanders off to have lunch in the dining room. Lately he's used to grunts fetching his lunches for him. One of the perks of being the boss and all that; anyway, he's got more important things to do. Still, he lived by himself plenty before that, and while he's no Cilan he can make a pretty mean sandwich. There's more of them sitting on a nearby platter, if anybody wants one.
Later on he walks around some, before eventually settling down in the game room to flip through some of the books there. They don't seem to be grabbing his attention too well, but it's something to do.]

He dumps all the junk in his closet before heading to make his rounds at the infirmary. He can be found there for a good chunk of the day, just chilling in the doctor's chair and writing notes on a clipboard. You know. Important Doctor Notes™. He's also put the flower from the vending machine on the infirmary counter for a little decoration. It's a primrose, tucked into a glass cup with some water. It's a wonder that thing wasn't dried up in the vending machine, really...
The change of pace continues when evening rolls around, apparently. Close to nighttime, Rideaux's in the kitchen with a couple of those high-class candies, idly popping them into his mouth as he waits for the kitchen to close so he can head off to bed. Apparently he's not expecting anyone to actually show up here around this time, since he's wearing his hideous onesie outside his room for the first time, hood pulled up and all. You ever go through the effort of getting ready for bed and then suddenly have a late night craving? ...yeah.]

Kalos really did never change, did it? Not even after two thousand and fifty years.
AZ woke up this morning with breakfast in mind (as keeping a steady schedule for eating is something normal people do) and for most of the morning AZ isn't doing anything special.
Then, that motive hits. And, well. Seeing that it had only taken a week before Juri rolled out an impressive offer like this, AZ was certain they may have a body on their hands before long. Of his twenty-eight fellow captives, someone had to be considering it. The power to change one part of yourself was a special one to behold.
After everything that decided to be, AZ is off to the kitchen again. He's gotten the relative hang of fixing a modern sandwich, so the visit is short before he's on the go again.
For the rest of the day he's... around. Basically everywhere. As disinterested as he may seem, seeing just what every new room had to offer was probably essential now. And it offers a few good distractions. Like the infirmary and it's many technological devices he's poking around at. A three thousand year old man likely knows what he's doing at least.]
