Week 2.

WEEK 2 With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 28

[Okay, he's sort of following because movies are a thing, they're just not very common. Isaac's got his head tipped to the side as he considers this.]

So you and Brady are from the same world? [What are the odds of that? Oh well, it's not super important right now.] Does Brady remember Lela, Queen of the Beach at all?

[destinycalling]

We are and he does, but the weird thing is . . . I like Lela, Queen of the Beach. It's my favorite movie. [It's on her profile and everything.] But Brady, who told me he doesn't even really like movies, is in love with Wet Side Story.

[glaciates]

Huh. So is this a movie you've never heard of before now...?

[Well, he got a little lost somewhere in there, sorry about that.]

[destinycalling]

[. . . belatedly realizes she may have left out a vital piece of information.]

Oh. Um, that's the thing. Wet Side Story doesn't exist where we're from. Like, at all.

[glaciates]

Oh. Oh.

[THAT MAKES A LOT MORE SENSE, YES...]

So how can it be his favorite movie if it doesn't exist? Does he have very vivid memories of it but you don't? Or is it just something he knows he likes, but can't remember much of it?

[He's not sure what either of those possibilities could mean, but they're the first two to spring to mind.]

I guess his dream was about watching it when he was younger, and he remembered the whole plot of the movie but. [She frowns slightly.] My dream was just a couple of scenes and I got the impression . . . I thought the movie was stupid, but I knew that it was Brady's favorite.

[Also the impression that she and Brady may have been dating, but haha. Like she'll admit that to literally anyone.]

[glaciates]

Huh... That's really weird. So it exists, but doesn't exist...

The dream was probably realistic, right? Are you guys sure you can't just write it off as a dream?

[destinycalling]

Isn't it kind of weird for two people who've never met to dream up the exact same song? [Well. She knows different words, but.] I mean. I'm probably overthinking this. I do that.

But something just. It feels off.

[glaciates]

No, it's understandable to be confused about something like that. It's way too weird to be a coincidence. I'm not sure if you'll be able to find the answers you're looking for here though.

[destinycalling]

Did you have a dream this week?

[Out of curiosity, of course.]

[glaciates]

I usually have dreams, though they're uh... not good ones.

[HELLA NIGHTMARES \o/]

I had a strange one after the uh... everything that happened with Maizono and Mallick. It wasn't as fu— screwed up as my dreams usually are.

[destinycalling]

More like a memory you forgot? Because that's how mine felt.

[She doesn't really. Dream that often.]

[glaciates]

...I'm not sure if it felt like that.

[Maybe? Maybe. But he doesn't really like that idea.]

[destinycalling]

Sorry, I shouldn't pry. [It's a bad habit of hers.] This whole situation has me on edge.

[glaciates]

No, it's alright. I've done the same thing plenty of times.

[Because he's terrible at social and usually can't tell when he should stop asking.]

Everyone seems to be on edge, you don't need to apologize for that.
