Week 2.
With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]

Sure, if you really want to talk.

It seemed like life went on as usual from what I last remember, actually. I was stationed in Nia Khera to pick up a wanted fugitive after he was apprehended by his brother and his merry little group of tagalongs.
...What I did not expect was for that little ingrate to ignore a direct order to hand his brother over. Let's just say he was quickly put in his place for insubordination.
[It explains one of Rideaux's dislikes pretty well, at least.]

... She gets it, though. Not Rideaux. The whole "disobeying a direct order to hand his brother over." Fuck you Rideaux, siblings are important. ]
I would've done the same thing.
[ We're just coming out and saying it, okay. ]

Just what I'd expect from a rebel.
[She may not know why she has it as her occupation, but as far as Rideaux is concerned, it's entirely fitting.]
This wasn't a matter for personal feelings to get in the way, Katniss. Julius was wanted for a good reason, and on top of that he was halting the progress of our company. Ludger had wanted to be part of Spirius for years, and now that he had finally become a member, one of the first things he did was disregard an order from his superior. You cannot tell me you don't see the problem with that.
[From how much he's suddenly giving away and with how much vitriol behind it, it sounds like he must know these two.]

[ ... He's not gonna like her answer. Nnnnope. ]
Depends on what the reason is.
no subject
[And that's really all there is to that!!
Ah, the reason.]
Deserting his position for one, and causing an enormous train hijacking and subsequent crash. Absolutely pathetic.
[Of course, Julius didn't actually cause the hijacking but it's not like Katniss needs to know that, so!]
no subject
I guess that's pretty bad.
[ Just a little bit. ]

"Pretty"? Oh come on, it's a serious crime! And that's why he had to be apprehended. Of course, he was eventually, once I dealt with Ludger's idiotic decision. He wasn't very happy to be forced into it, but that's what he gets for not doing it willingly in the first place.

[ ...... ]
... That goes against what I believe in.

Then he shouldn't have joined this company if he wasn't prepared to make tough decisions. It was his choice. You can't join a company and then immediately put your personal feelings in the way of progress. It just doesn't work like that.

[ She's not giving up, sorry. ]

It was hardly betrayal when he went into the mission knowing that he'd probably have to do it sooner or later. Besides, Julius had already betrayed him, so who cares?
no subject
She's not sure whether she should actually believe Rideaux, or if he just has some vendetta against the two because they annoy the fuck out of him. But a sibling betraying their sibling? Katniss's expression hardens. ]
Sounds like they're a handful.
no subject
[Yeah...he definitely has a history with those two, it seems. But despite the look of annoyance on his face, he's glad that Katniss stopped trying to defend their actions, at least for a moment.]
