Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

To go to Japan. It'll be easier if I can get there by myself. I'm not sure I'd be able to get on a plane.

The kitchen is off-limits at night. I don't know why, but I feel like investigating it is only something we can do in the day.

[By his tone, the nickname is entirely affectionate and not meant to be condescending.]

[Dwelling silently on that, Sakura pivots, takes aim - no not at Kogami, she has manners - and takes a shot at the farthest target from her strange angle. It's with some satisfaction that the arrow skirts at the bullseye and disrupts the gathering of arrows there, some of them even falling off.

What a terrible thought, but it's nice not being the weakest person in the facility]

You should try it some day. It's very relaxing.

Sounds like they're really trying to play hardball now, doesn't it?

Would you be willing to explain how alchemy is different than chemistry, if at all? You sound like it's ... more potent than at least any science I've heard of.

[ She said, sort of getting closer to him and his shirtlessness here to examine the array ]

[ Well, she warned them. She's going to walk off as well, because not like she wanted to be around here longer than was needed ]

[Wesker takes the envelope immediately upon entering the room, though he doesn't move to open it; he just...waits until the Risen have done their thing, and by the time the normal flickering lights have come back on, he's gone very still.

With the exception of the hand still holding his envelope, that is - that is in the process of crushing the envelope and whatever's in it, though he doesn't seem aware of what he's doing.

It takes him a moment to shake it off; when he leaves it's abrupt, without any further reaction - regardless, it's obvious that he's not pleased with this.]

[Well... this is fine. Gonna just grab the envelope, head down, no eye contact.

And then it's time to leave because she's not entirely sure what expression she's wearing anyway so better to just... grab some tea in the kitchen and lock herself in the room for a bit. Today is not a good day for socializing.]

[Sakura glares up at the screen, then turns away.]

Rubbish.

Very. Whatever is in these [she takes her envelope for emphasis] must be accurate, and that's the worst part.

[Immediately after the incentive, Greed can be found near the incinerator, apparently having gotten an idea from the first trial and burning his envelop in the incinerator with a lit match. It's hard to tell if he's even bothered to look at what was written in it.

Later on, after he's calmed down some, he can be found in the dining hall with a glass of water, and apparently drawing in a sketchbook he's taken from the art room. Whatever he's drawing is certainly... different.]

[ ...Well, this sure is a thing, isn't it. Yusuke grabs his envelope upon entering the room, and once that whole display is over he leaves without a word and heads to the incinerator room to burn it. He doesn't bother opening it - he already knows it contains something about him being a phantom thief.

Had this happened last week, it probably wouldn't have bothered him as much, but after remembering what happened to Okumura... ]

They can't get anything like that. The AI in charge only wants to do tests until they die, then move to the next subject.

[Wheatley doesn't sound particularly saddened about that]

Then something happened, and the tests stopped. I think she was dead? At least until...

[He mumbles something unintelligibly]

[...The Risen are a mess, and Nozomi's finding herself liking them less and less by the minute. Curiosity leaves her looking into the envelope, and... What the heck is this?

She doesn't dwell on it for very long at least before looking around at the rest of the group. This one's pretty rough for everyone, isn't it?...]

That sure was a lot to take in.

After the presentation finishes, Lovecraft's just crouched down in one of the room's corners, staring at his envelope. Secrets? It doesn't come as a massive surprise, with how much the Risen already seemed to know, but...

He finally glances around, at all the shocked and angry faces among the others. How some of them simply storm out at this reveal. This one- this incentive... He can tell it's going to be much more difficult for the group to bear.

However, what he ends up mumbling isn't related to the the incentive itself at all.]

They are incredibly exhausting...

[Seriously, are these edgy, practically eye and ear-destroying presentations necessary?]

Ahh, let's see.

It's about reshaping the molecular structure of an object, at it's most simple definition. Of course, you can't create something out of nothing. You need raw materials of equal composition to what you want to create. If you want to fix a broken teacup, you need all of the pieces of that teacup in order to repair it with alchemy.

It helps me get to sleep. Just, um, doesn't help me stay that way.

So it's... restoration of something?

[ But what if- ] But wouldn't fire destroy those pieces to go back to your body?

[So. On a scale from one to "everybody dying", that incentive...well, it's not going over all that well, let's put it that way.

Wesker will be AWOL for a good portion of the day, really, once that's out there (probably shut in his room, who the hell knows with him) but later in the afternoon he can be found in the dojo; his clothes are actually sensible today, thanks to Sakura The Elder – they're black and made out of material that isn't fucking insane, though he's still got the weird leather collar thing on because apparently he can't be completely normal for more than five minutes. Either way, the outfit is decidedly easier to move in, which is nice because he sure has braced some of those mats against the wall and is punching the hell out of them in one of the most deliberate manners possible.

The strikes are hard and rhythmic, the sort of thing that comes from someone who's used to hitting for power and not for speed; once in a while he stops and steps back, one of his hands pressing into his chest for a moment. His breathing is labored, and his skin seems a bit flushed – not heavily so, but the sort of thing that implies a fever is building.

He takes a moment to get his physical reactions back under control before starting again; he's got entirely too much agitated energy, and not nearly enough outlets to get rid of it in this place.

The other place he can be found today is the infirmary, where he's going through pretty much everything in here without actually seeming to be properly looking for anything. It's literally just a matter of giving his hands something to do, and if that means re-organizing the veritable pharmacy's worth of shit we have in here, he is going to do it; he's still irritated and it's obvious, but this seems to be calming him down a little. Once in a while he sort of...tics a bit in a manner that he doesn't seem too able to control – and he hasn't been doing that since everyone woke up here – but generally speaking he looks decidedly less willing to wring somebody's neck in here.

Which is improvement over the rest of the day, really.]

[That seems to be enough to satisfy her. She wouldn't want his hair to get damaged]

Maybe that's why it's so long... you're almost like Rapunzel.

Which begs the question of what you think it was previously used for.

[From the sound of it, he has an idea, anyway.]

[There is no witty comeback this time. No bland, unimpressed shrug at the theatrics. When the lights come up, Rin's eyes are blown wide, jaw clenched hard enough that her teeth are audibly grinding.

She takes the envelope and walks out of the room without another word.]

[Sakura, what the hell are you even. Other than kind of inherently amusing, just saying.]

I'd imagine so. Though to be fair, I doubt I'd fare much better with traditional bows.
