Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

[Thirty minutes later, and a good portion of the floor is covered in mats! A wall is also covered in mats. This is nice. She stretches a little, takes her shoes back off-
all she has are the heels, and she'd rather not sprain an ankle- looks at Rin, then nods.

She takes off and begins doing a variety of flips without much windup; notable is the fact that she doesn't touch the ground with her hands at any point. She keeps doing her gymnastic buildup until she reaches the mat, harshly swings her hips towards the mat, and...]

[...Hits the mat. ...It looks like a hit that would hurt, mind you, but nothing particularly special happens, and Nozomi looks a little confused about it.]

What? That's it?

[She's looking the mat over as if she expected something else.]
ossifragant: (Ò then the rabbits couldn't just come in)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-22 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
....and I guess minimizing the chances of people knowing each other might make it easier for them to kill.
ossifragant: (Ò from the dust of earth returning)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-22 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah, you're right. Whatever a person's convictions are probably doesn't matter as long as it helps them keep going.
heritrix: (standard thoughtful expression)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-06-22 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[She nods along, following. It's not a hard leap to make at all, given she was already suspecting the building had been used for past... Whatever the heck this is.]

Like how from the first, when we arrived met the Transmitter, I concluded it was an experiment. Their insistence on addressing us by title rather than name, and their claim they'd always be observing us made me think that.

[Thus playing into the "expectations of the place" thing Wesker speaks of, even if she ended up thinking they were more Subjects than Patients. Is she getting his point right?]
ossifragant: (⊗ you have lots on your mind)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-22 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree.

Unfortunately, she didn't see it that way.
positivespin: (Default)

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-06-22 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! Quite often! Especially since today started out great!

[ She hasn't been in a very good mood these past few weeks so she's not quite as huggy as she normally is, but yes. Flying hugs are normal for her. ]
ossifragant: (⊗ place your bets)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-22 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I wonder how long until they'll enlighten us.
ossifragant: (Ŏ but you'll just have to wait)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-22 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, don't get me wrong, it's something that's impossible under normal circumstances. I've never heard of anything like it happening before.

The seal was drawn in blood.

Hugs.

[ That sure is said in a matter-of-fact tone. ]

Because flying airships are awesome!

[ Aaaand there she goes, jumping ahead of the conversation without a care. ]
positivespin: (spin thrust)

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-06-22 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
From what QQ has seen, yes! Transportation is making huge advances so quickly.

[ As she says that, she starts happily spinning around in place. ]
imaginex: (♦ look)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-22 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
... That makes a certain amount of sense.

Mana is found in the blood. If the soul was anchored by a powerful seal...

[Mmm, but then she shakes her head a second later]

No, the power required to keep the soul in place... I can't imagine anyone with the means to do so.
ossifragant: (∅ doing the best that i can)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-22 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[It's not like he wants to just let the conversation go-- give her some time to herself, sure, but eventually Greed will approach Rin's door, knocking on it quietly.]

It's Greed. Can we talk?
protectandselfserve: as long as it doesn't cut into the personal swimming pool in the evidence room fund. (why i can spare a $50!)

[personal profile] protectandselfserve 2017-06-22 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[You know, it's kind of rare to see Gant outside of the pool these days. And I mean... the pool is where he is all morning, because of course it is. He's never going to pass up the opportunity for a nice morning swim.

Around lunchtime, though... well, you can't really say that the novelty's worn off, but he's relocated himself to the internal foyer, where he's reclining a bit in one of the chairs reading a book titled The Principles of Private Detection and occasionally smiling a bit more strongly than usual.

...

He's also wearing something different than usual, in that he's wearing a green mascot costume instead of his usual bright orange suit. Like. I mean. What did you expect him to wear if not the dinosaur outfit.

Later on, though... but not too much later, he moves to the external foyer, where he's. Well. Attempting a portion of Beethoven's Sonata No. 14, albeit with a little bit less speed and a little bit more noise.]
preciousking: tired, bored, trying to nap, covering face (♚ death i will survive)

[personal profile] preciousking 2017-06-22 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[ No worries, he's bound to do it again sometime. He sees what she's saying but it's not quite enough to move him yet. Logic has a funny way of bouncing off of him, almost like it's allergic to him. ]

Hm. Interested, huh? ... That mean it's important to you?
preciousking: huh, what, looks kind of dazed, looks kind of depressed too (♚ that's deeper than my pride)

[personal profile] preciousking 2017-06-22 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
The one I'm thinkin' of ain't open to the public even though it's always visible. Other ones are used everyday, just not by me.
positivespin: (somersault shoot)

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-06-23 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
[ Well, that raises a whole new question. ]

Always visible, but not open...? Why?

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Archery is more of a solitary sport, but it can be fun with company.

Ah... so you talk about dates on your date...

[This boy is too pure.]

Have you asked her where she'd like to visit?
ossifragant: father king (⊕ fear the heat of passion)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-23 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
There is one way I can think of it, though it still doesn't sound quite right--

In my world, there is a concept of Equivalent Exchange. In alchemic terms, it means you can only create something out of an equal amount of something else. You can only make a teacup if you have the exact amount of carbon, nitrates, and other materials needed in raw form.

A life is different from an object, but a savvy enough alchemist might find risking their own life and limbs-- literally, for the power to attach a soul worth the danger.

[tl;dr someone probably got his arm ripped off]
protectandselfserve: but I think he's wrong! (well!)

[personal profile] protectandselfserve 2017-06-23 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I suppose the better question is how precisely will they be going about it? Are they going to send a messenger? Just leave a little note in the office of somebody important?
preciousking: paying attention, observing (♚ and i will let the devil know that)

[personal profile] preciousking 2017-06-23 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
'cause it belongs to the first King.

Perhaps.

[Maybe if he were being honest with himself. ]

I'm already someone who has dealt with the pain of loss and I'd be rather not experience it again.
positivespin: (roll strike)

A King on an airship...? That would make it hard to talk to subjects.
halleberry: (point counter point)

Around the whole world, actually. I have the whole route planned out and everything, and I'm visiting every capital, major city and landmark there is. It took quite some time to map out, but, it's actually my dream.

[ She speaks with no shortage of fondness about it, either; the thought of this trip keeps her going, there's no question. ]
