Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

[Krauser's not surprised to find Wesker in here and he's not surprised to find him wielding a crossbow. He'll wait until Wesker's taking a moment to reload before speaking up.]

Have you used those before?

[Inclining his head to indicate the crossbow.]

Not at all, actually.

I know some people that are fond of them, but I've never really had any interest in it personally.

You're a damn good shot for your first time.

What can I say? I learn quickly, and I've always been proud of my aim.

You have every reason to be. If you're this good now, you'll be a perfect shot once you're used to the crossbow.

[He'll actually head on over to check out the regular bows, since those are more his style.]

Do you do archery as well as knives?

[armamenta]

I do, yeah.

[He'll select one and give it a test pull before nodding slightly.]

Another one of those things I did instead of hobbies.

At least you were dedicating your time to something useful. Though I suppose that defeats the point that everyone was trying to make regarding hobbies in the first place.

Exactly. Apparently archery was "good enough" because they stopped trying after I picked it up.

Well, it is considered something of an archaic weapon, so perhaps that's why - though I wouldn't be surprised if you brought it into battle with you at some point.

[You're kind of like that guy that brought a fucking claymore to WWII.]

I've picked off targets with a bow before. It can be highly effective, if used right.

[He'll do that! Krauser's actually a damn good shot, though he's a bit rusty and the first shot's a little too far up from the center of the target. He doesn't seem too displeased though, and lines up a second shot.]

It's been awhile since I last had a chance to do this.

[...He thinks? With the dreams it seems like it has been, anyway.]

I believe it.

[He'll keep going then; it doesn't take him long to hit the center and he looks sort of pleased when he does.]

It's good to have a room like this, though I'm curious why it's here.

Several of the rooms have been a little strange - the incinerator where patients can access it, the sewing room in general, this place...

At least they had the decorum to stop short of a chainsaw emporium, I suppose.

I'm genuinely surprised they haven't provided us a room full of weapons. They're obvious about what they want from us.

Perhaps they want us to be a bit more creative than that.

Keep things interesting for them, I guess.

How well did you sleep last night? You left early this morning.

Yeah. I had another one of those dreams. Did you?

[enhancements]

Yes... It was good rather than unsettling this time.

[armamenta]

Yeah? What happened?

[enhancements]

I had several attempts made on my life, culminating in one that nearly killed me. That last one was the most fascinating use of someone's abilities that I've ever seen... It was almost a shame that I had to strip her of them later, it was positively breathtaking.

Of course, I didn't appreciate it at the time, but it was the most interesting thing that had happened to me in almost ten years.

[He's going to be back to hating her in the next couple of days, probably? But holy shit, zero-context Alice was kind of really goddamn cool.]
