Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

It would explain a lot. The mismatched rooms, the computers not working... this room.

Maybe the Risen are making it up as they go along.
crywiththesaints: Judging (don't fear the shadows)

[personal profile] crywiththesaints 2017-06-19 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Either they're very good or very bad at what they do, and either way, they don't seem to know what it is they're doing. Or they do, and we simply don't see it yet.
ossifragant: (⊗ place your bets)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
When I spoke with them, they said something about how "it's much more than a game." Whatever the hell that means.

I can't tell if they're speaking about the fact that now four people have died or something else entirely.

I asked them something once. She said they're not out to change the world, and that it's closer to changing themselves. What does that mean to you?
ossifragant: (Ô got hurt a long time ago)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
Changing themselves...

Honestly, I don't have an idea. Are they trying to justify some sort of worldview?
crywiththesaints: Angry in shadow (frozen my body rises through the dark)

[personal profile] crywiththesaints 2017-06-19 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
That's what it always boils down to. How people see the world and what they're going to do about it.
ossifragant: (⊗ place your bets)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
I can't say I can understand the reasoning for that-- putting people into a situation where they believe there's no hope and they need to kill someone to escape isn't exactly a good measure of people.

Though I don't have any other better ideas, either.
crywiththesaints: Smirking (face the dark you despise)

[personal profile] crywiththesaints 2017-06-19 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Precisely. Anyone who judges based on that has never heard the phrase "confirmation bias."
ossifragant: (⊗ place your bets)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Makes you wonder what the point of all of this is. Maybe we're missing something, but I don't think so.
crywiththesaints: Sakura's hand on a folded paper (that lurk in the night)

[personal profile] crywiththesaints 2017-06-19 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
Personally, I think we're missing a lot of things, and there's nothing I dislike more than that.
ossifragant: (∅ doing the best that i can)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
The Risen's actual motivation for one. Who the hell they are, for another.

...Maybe what they are, as well.
crywiththesaints: Asking a hard question (what tomorrow will bring)

[personal profile] crywiththesaints 2017-06-19 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
That's true. We can't just assume that they're regular humans, with all we've already seen.
ossifragant: (Ö i try not to)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
No.

I'm not human myself; I hardly want to assume the worst about non-humans, but I don't know if we have any choice but to keep every idea open as a possibility.
crywiththesaints: Critical look (and the past that it leaves)

[personal profile] crywiththesaints 2017-06-19 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
At least, not right now. We've barely gotten anything.
ossifragant: (⊕ death they'll bring)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
...You know, maybe some of us should start looking around for clues, anything left behind-- the Risen seemed to want that to begin with.

If there's another... "incentive" this week, maybe we can hold another meeting and discuss what we've found.
crywiththesaints: Asking a hard question (what tomorrow will bring)

[personal profile] crywiththesaints 2017-06-19 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. It's better than sitting around.
