Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

It would be. But at least this room looks relatively safe.

[Though the sure amount of arrows is probably a bad sign to begin with.]

...Though it does look like something must have happened to it.

[He says, moving to touch one of the walls.]
imaginex: (♢ doubt)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-19 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
... It does look concerning.

[She relents the opinion after a sigh] Given the force, I wonder if someone used the crossbows for something.
ossifragant: (Φ now it's just what i've become)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe. It kind of looks like a battle went on in here, doesn't it? It doesn't look like it was just disrepair.

[He runs a hand against the wall carefully.]

There are a lot of weird mysteries in this place, aren't there?
imaginex: (♢ observe)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-19 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
It's possible there were a lot of people here at one point. The dining room and infirmary were both made with a lot of patients in mind, it seems.

... I always wondered why it's just us here.
ossifragant: (Ò from the dust of earth returning)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
It does seem like people were meant to live here, a little.

I mean beyond the patients. Are live-in staff common in hospitals?

[This seems to be a genuine question.]
imaginex: (♦ thoughtful)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-19 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
[... That's a good question, actually]

I hadn't considered that. [Expression thoughtful, she also approaches the wall, examining the cracks]

To be honest, I haven't been in enough hospitals to know, but I don't see why it's not possible. If the location was remote, or if the patients were long-term...

[Then yes, it's possible the staff would be called to live in the hospital walls]
ossifragant: (Φ that's reeking from our skins)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
It's hard to tell where we are, what with the fog and snow, but maybe that's the case here. It might explain the strange assortment of rooms.
imaginex: (♢ hurting)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-19 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Though... in that case...

[She glances at the wall again, looking ominous to her eyes suddenly]

Where did all the people go?
ossifragant: father king (⊕ fear the heat of passion)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-20 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know.

[He looks uncomfortable.]

It doesn't.... seem very good, does it?
imaginex: (♡ resigned)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-20 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose it's too much to hope they just left.

[She's not a girl of optimism, and her tone reflects it. The statement is there for other people to take comfort in, if they want it]
ossifragant: (Ò from the dust of earth returning)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-20 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe they did. We don't have any real way way of knowing.

[He doesn't sound very optimistic, either.]
imaginex: (♡ cityscape)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-20 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
[He's right, of course, and after a moment, Sakura's gaze slides down to the bow still gripped a little too tightly in her hand now.

She reaches back and nocks an arrow against the string, back turned]

Do you shoot, Greed-san?
ossifragant: (⊗ place your bets)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-20 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[He tips his head.]

A little bit.
imaginex: (♥ sweet)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-21 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Would you like to shoot with me for a while?
ossifragant: (⊗ love the pearls)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-21 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Sure, if you don't mind my never being able to hit the center of the target.
imaginex: them damned stairs and their suspiciously bruise-causing ways (♥ redirect)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-21 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
Of course that's fine!

I'm probably being too serious about this anyway.
ossifragant: (⊗ get that damn thing off the neck)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-21 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds fun, then.

[He strides over to grab a bow and a quiver.]

It's been a long time since I've been able to do anything like this.

[He draws the bow, firing once. He absolutely doesn't hit the center of the target; it's pretty clear Greed isn't used to anything remotely resembling ranged combat, though he does seem to be familiar regardless.]
imaginex: (♦ neutral)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-23 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[He hit the target, which is always impressive enough, even to Sakura. While she can't help but take note of improvements that would increase his accuracy, she's more interested in his statement]

Have you ever used other weapons then?
ossifragant: (⊕ to the fairest the graceful says)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-23 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Just my own two fists. I've never really needed much else.
imaginex: (♦ confusion)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-23 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Aa... that would simplify things.

[glancing at him curiously]

Do you have more strength than the average human?
ossifragant: (⊕ death they'll bring)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-23 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I do. I'm much stronger.

[....]

Normally, anyway. Here, I'm just as strong as a normal human.

[Maybe a little weaker, considering how he looks like death stilll.]
imaginex: (♢ concerned)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-23 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[Huh wait hold up, Sakura didn't know that.]

So you don't have access to your usual gifts either.
ossifragant: (⊗ place your bets)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-23 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well that's interesting.]

Seems that way. From what I've heard from people who were willing to tell, it sounds like that's true across the board. I'm not sure I understand why, because my abilities are... biology, for lack of a better term for it.
imaginex: (♦ stare)

[personal profile] imaginex 2017-06-23 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
... I admit, I assumed only abilities within the realm of "magecraft" or "magic" would be removed, but if it's also your strength...

[However, he's a homunculus, a being not strictly made fro-- ugh, wrong canon. Sakura sighs under her breath and tries to think this through]

If it's not magic, maybe it's anything that would give us an advantage over our captors.
ossifragant: (⊗ you have lots on your mind)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-23 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe.

If we could bust out of here right away, the Risen wouldn't be able to do much about this "game."
