Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

I don't know if I've ever tried coffee before!

[ the princess smiles, answering without missing a beat. She's got on her swimsuit! ... With the ripped jeans she got from the vending machine on over the lower half! Hey, Nozomi pulls it off, she can pull it off with a black one piece maybe. ]

[cadmiums]

Oh, really? Then it'll be my honor to serve you your first cup of coffee Princess Nachetanya. [ Might as use her full name in this situation.]

[nachetanya]

Well then, I'll be counting on your service, Ryoji.

[ she even - ah, wait, she can't curtsy in pants. So she sort of faux-bows for him, holding out her arm to be led to what seat he wants to take her to. ]

[cadmiums]

[ That works well enough, and he'll lead her to a seat nearby. It's clear he's used to doing this, as he doesn't falter in the slightest.]

There are several ways to take coffee-- do you dislike bitter flavors?

[nachetanya]

Not at all. I've always preferred sweet or sour, but I've nothing against more bitter flavors. In fact, I'd say I trust your judgement.

[ Oh, being lead like this feels fun! ]

[cadmiums]

Hm, in that case... hazelnut with a drop of cream. [ He starts on the coffee.]

I dont think I'll be as good as your servants back home, but I'll try my best!

[nachetanya]

I have the utmost confidence in you!

[ With a little laugh, and she sets into her seat, humming ] After all, I had said that you seemed suited for it.

[cadmiums]

Thank you! If you don't mind telling me, what is your home like? Living in a castle sounds kind of romantic.

[nachetanya]

Mmm, the palace itself is very pretty. But maybe it would be better to hear about Piena as a whole? We're called the Land of Bountiful Fields, and we've great expanses of apple orchards and maize crop. [ She tilts her head ] And as for the capitol city, it's not an exaggeration to say it's the largest in the world.

[cadmiums]

Oh, yeah! That sounds really beautiful, the foilage in the fall must look amazing. And I've never really been to a large city, but it sounds like it's beautiful in it's own way too.

[nachetanya]

Oh, you haven't? Yes, it's amazing! the bustle of the traders and merchants, the movement of all the common folk!

[cadmiums]

[ Nod. ] Tatsumi is a city but it's not very large. I'd love to have the opportunity to talk to all the merchants and hear about their lives...it would be so interesting!

[nachetanya]

As I said, the capitol of Piena's probablty the largest city in the world. We're supplied by the surrounding farmlands and live quite near a large lake which can irrigate everything for miles and miles.

[cadmiums]

It sounds like a beautiful place to live-- I'm sure you're a great princess to your people too.

[nachetanya]

I do try to live up to the title Augustra.

[cadmiums]

What about Assertive?

[nachetanya]

Oh... I don't know, you could answer that one, right?

[cadmiums]

[ He smiles. ]

I think you are pretty good at getting what you want.

[nachetanya]

Well, thank you. Someone else told me it suited me too.

[cadmiums]

You're welcome. What about my title?

[nachetanya]

Amiable? Doesn't that speak for itself, with this performance?

[cadmiums]

Performance?

[nachetanya]

[ She leans forward a little over the counter. ]

Right now, to serve others like this... it's true that you could be sweet in your heart and I don't have any doubt, but it's an act to go around like this and offer me tea or coffee, right? Because you want to be friendly and make people happy.

[cadmiums]

It's my part time job back home. But I really do want everyone to be happy, everyone deserves friends.

[nachetanya]

Which is exactly what I'd have thought!
