Trustfell 5: A Good Day to Trust Fall ([personal profile] trustfellowship) wrote in [community profile] trustfelled2017-06-18 11:56 am

Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]
ossifragant: father king (⊕ fear the heat of passion)

It's definitely possible. Some of it looks like it's just damage due to disrepair, but then there are also strangely well-kept rooms here as well.

It's the kind of miss-match I'm not sure I get.
nachetanya: (Sparkle)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-19 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
It could be as simple as some rooms were prioritized for repairs before we saw them but others weren't. But the whole thing...

[ She knocks on the wall again ] the core structure of the walls must be pretty solid, right?
ossifragant: (Ò of names and dates)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd imagine so. If it wasn't, this place would have caved in on itself.

Unless we're going to find a room eventually where it's entirely snowed it. I'm a little surprised that hasn't happened already.
nachetanya: (Ragnarok)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-19 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Even with these firm hidden doors, you'd think we'd feel some draft if that were the case. Honestly, I'm surprised it's as comfortable as it is anyway.
ossifragant: (Ô got hurt a long time ago)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe. I wouldn't necessarily be able to tell; I'd have to rely on you guys to tell me it's cold in the building.

It does make you think, though. There's a lot of strangeness going on here, beyond the "game" we've being forced to play.
nachetanya: (Phantom Hourglass)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-19 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, are ho...mon... your species incapable of telling the temperature?

[ She flips the bullet around in her hand, to now tap that against the wall. ]
ossifragant: (⊕ precious like starlight)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
More or less, yeah. We don't rely on a number of things most people do. The cold can't exactly kill me.
nachetanya: (Ragnarok)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-19 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh wow... that's amazing, but that could be inconvenient. Wouldn't that mean you wouldn't notice until too late if you froze or were lit on fire?
ossifragant: (⊗ place your bets)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
That, and neither would be immediately fatal under normal circumstances. It'd be inconvenient at most.
nachetanya: (Fifteen Thousand Dollars)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-19 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[ . . . Okay she can't keep up the teasing tone with that last bit because: ]

How can burning not be fatal?!
ossifragant: (⊕ precious like starlight)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Our bodies regenerate.
nachetanya: (Kingdom Hearts)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-19 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
From burning up?!

[ ??? ]
ossifragant: (Ò of names and dates)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-19 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes.

[He laughs darkly.]

In theory, a homunculus could regenerate from having his body nearly completely destroyed, but that would probably be horrifically painful.

On a molecular level, our bodies are identical to humans, but our bodies are more fluid.

[....]

I'd demonstrate, but my abilities have been sealed.
nachetanya: (Spirit Tracks)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-19 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I... would be very curious to see that.

[ But also sort of disturbed, like damn??? ] That's an incredible ability. It almost makes me repressed saint abilities seem marginal by comparison.
ossifragant: (Ò is it something we ate)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-20 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
It's not like I'm all-powerful or anything like that, but I've always been fond of it.
nachetanya: (and the Wayfarer's Lamentation)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-20 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
Are you certain? An inability to die like that seems like the most potent power there is.
ossifragant: (∅ standing naked in the rain)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-20 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
We can die.

[He seems content to leave it at that, though.]
nachetanya: (Blackrock Mountain)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-20 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
I see. I'm sorry for assuming then.

[ She exhales and decides to clarify: ]

Such a power seemed akin to the ability of the Evil God to me, I suppose I related it's immortality.
ossifragant: (⊕ precious like starlight)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-20 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I can see that, I guess.

[He looks thoughtful.]

Our bodies are held together through an alchemic array.

[And since he's effectively shirtless thanks to his Shield being down, the nodes on his body stand out pretty clearly like strange red tattoos.]

Since homunculi bodies are created through alchemy, we can do things with our bodies humans cannot, though we're incapable of alchemy ourselves.
nachetanya: (Awakening)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-20 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Would you be willing to explain how alchemy is different than chemistry, if at all? You sound like it's ... more potent than at least any science I've heard of.

[ She said, sort of getting closer to him and his shirtlessness here to examine the array ]
ossifragant: (Ô got hurt a long time ago)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-20 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh, let's see.

It's about reshaping the molecular structure of an object, at it's most simple definition. Of course, you can't create something out of nothing. You need raw materials of equal composition to what you want to create. If you want to fix a broken teacup, you need all of the pieces of that teacup in order to repair it with alchemy.

[in other words, it's magic]
nachetanya: (and the Undine)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-20 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[ . . . Okay, so it's - ]

So it's... restoration of something?

[ But what if- ] But wouldn't fire destroy those pieces to go back to your body?
ossifragant: (⊕ precious like starlight)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-20 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course.

But homunculi regeneration works differently than everyday alchemy.
nachetanya: (Dream Drop Distance)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2017-06-20 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
How so?

[ ...

Okay putting the bullet more into her palm, she's now reaching out her index finger to touch the array thing there. ]
ossifragant: (⊗ sharpen up the blade boys)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-06-20 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[He doesn't push her away or react to the touch. He looks amused more than anything else.]

Do you know in detail everything your body does, all of its biological functions? I don't know everything.
