Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

I don't actually know what any of that is, honestly.

Your world sounds earlier on, so it's no wonder. Of course, society back then had its own problems, but killing the planet wasn't one of them.

If anything, that might be more the domain of the Evil God.

Do all worlds develop the same way?

Other worlds look very similar to mine, from what I've gathered in here. Of course, they all have obvious differences.

Oh...? Like whose?

[crywiththesaints]

Tousaka has some ideas about magic and how it works that seem similar to Greed's alchemy, but different at the same time. And of course, where I come from, all we have are old stories.

Ah, I meant more the similarities! I can't say any of them have sounded too similar to mine, other than that they have humans on them!

Well, most have fairly similar technology. Cars, computers -- of course, this place has them too, but the overall consensus among the captives is that those ones are archaic, and they don't work besides.

And the "texting" thing.

Indeed. I prefer older methods of communication, but it's very efficient.

[nachetanya]

Once I worked out how it works, it really is quite different.

I suppose you dealt more with face-to-face communication. Messenger birds?

[nachetanya]

Or some letter correspondence or couriers.

[ But yeah, much more used to that. ]

Charming. It's useful even today, too. One never knows who's watching electronic communications.

... how can you watch sound?

Text, for one, and video. Even for audio, people can tap it.

Does that mean you think our communication with the Transmitter is compromised somehow?

[crywiththesaints]

I'd be surprised if the Risen weren't listening in, but anybody else? It's unlikely. Nobody's come to the rescue, after all.
