Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

I could... but to me, it seems that in our uncertain position, it's better to finish something, even if it's small.

Now you're just being morbid. I'd rather read something polished and from the heart than something that's been rushed for time, out of uncertainty that you'll get to write the ending.

...All the more incentive for you to make sure you stick around to finish it.

Mmm... I don't disagree, but I think I'd rather write you a dozen stories in that time.

Don't get ahead of yourself, here. The thought is appreciated, but you haven't even finished one yet.

[ She taps on the notebook with her finger... ]

[ Alright, alright, she deserves that. But she grins and points at the other with a pen ]

I think I might change the genre, finish it quicker. You'll want to kiss me by the end of this!

What, you're going to turn it into a love story? I can't help but feel like a love story written by you would be very...

[ Well, it'd spare no details, that's for sure. ]

Exciting?

[ She was tempted to wait to see what Tsubasa trailed off in, but she couldn't help herself. ]

[halleberry]

Unrestrained, was the word I was looking for.

[nachetanya]

Does that mean you wouldn't read it?

[halleberry]

Naturally, I would read every word, diligently, and scrutinize you over your word choice on an incessant basis. What do you take me for?

Well then, I'll write a romance and you can tell me what genre the next one should be!

[halleberry]

Consider it a deal. I look forward to reading it, provided you take your time. Don't rush for my sake.

Tsubasa, when have I broken a promise to you?

I'm sure if I wrack my brain, I can think of something. I try not to hold grudges, after all.

[nachetanya]

You have yet to resent me for anything.

[halleberry]

Don't make me start over something as petty as rushed prose.

[ Though, it's pretty obvious that's a joke... ]

[nachetanya]

Don't worry.

[ It's unclear if she's teasing Tsubasa with how he next works sound super serious!! ]

I will earn that next kiss!

[halleberry]

[ She definitely is; Tsubasa can't help but get a bit flustered all over again-- ]

You don't have to shout that to the heavens...

[ Plot twist: ]

Do you resent me for it?

[ She leans in a little to whisper ]

[halleberry]

Don't you have a story to write?

[ Obviously the answer is no, but, for goodness's sake-- ]

[nachetanya]

[ she nods!

And turns her gaze back to the paper, taking the pen out again and... starting on finishing that last paragraph with renewed vigor. ]

[halleberry]

...

I don't, by the way.

[nachetanya]

I know.

[ She laughs a little, not looking up from the page. It's an opening for her to leave or to sit with her if she wanted to talk more. ]
