Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]
dangerousfool: (Don't panic!)

I plan to do that. Cakes are a big staple of Aperture Science, baking them may even be part of my programming, for all I know!

[Well, no, it's more to keep himself busy, more than any other objective]
aspiringly: (now let me think on this.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-20 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
But from what you've told me, I thought they were more interested in human test subjects. I don't see how cakes come into play, particularly if you were meant to supervise.
dangerousfool: (trust me)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-06-20 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
Cake was one of the main incentives for the test subjects to do their best! Besides the--you know, beside the staying alive part. That's important too.
aspiringly: doug why do you exist. (le sigh.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-20 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
[He thinks staying alive is plenty of incentive alone...]

Extra incentives certainly don't hurt, although I would think that most of the subjects would prefer getting something more practical or versatile.
dangerousfool: (1)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-06-20 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
They can't get anything like that. The AI in charge only wants to do tests until they die, then move to the next subject.

[Wheatley doesn't sound particularly saddened about that]

Then something happened, and the tests stopped. I think she was dead? At least until...

[He mumbles something unintelligibly]
aspiringly: (now let me think on this.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-21 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Kind of strange that there's not much of a reaction considering how Wheatley at least seemed somewhat concerned about the murders... although that could just be him worrying about his own welfare. Still, when someone trails off like that...]

...Was she reactivated in some way?
dangerousfool: (Say apple)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-06-21 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
...I accidentally reactivated her while trying to escape with the one test subject that's alive and walking. It was an accident! Almost killed me right after she woke up, too. That's the last thing I remember.

[As he sees it, it's a miracle he's alive. That test subject better be okay, too. Well, surely she's okay]
aspiringly: (a matter for consideration.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-21 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
I wonder if it was fortunate that you were taken here, then.

[Although, with all those dreams they've been having lately, he's not so sure, especially if they actually are memories.]

That was what you remembered last immediately after waking up here?
dangerousfool: (That was a jump. Say apple)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-06-21 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm very lucky. I bet the Transmitter's the one who fixed me. Not only she gave me this body, she also fixed me.

[He didn't die, but he does remember he was quite damaged]

Yes, that's my latest memory. I bet there are more to come, it still doesn't explain how I'm here. I asked Wesker to fix my memory but he didn't want to.
aspiringly: (now let me think on this.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-22 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
It's true that you would likely be easier to fix compared to the rest of us here, although it may be a little soon to say that she was the one responsible for your body. Unless you heard anything from her to imply that?

[That comment about Wesker makes him think for a second, though. Right, he does remember something about liking technology in his profile.]

That's a shame, though. It may have helped confirm the whole memory loss theory if he was willing to do so.

[Not that it explains how that would've been applied to humans, but any little bit of information helps.]
dangerousfool: (It's no problem)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-06-22 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, nothing, but this is too normal to have been done by Aperture Science. I can't even feel pain through it!

There's nothing to confirm, machines don't dream. Or sleep. That's something I haven't done at all here.

[So as far as Wheatley's concerned, these are memories and there's no ground for debate]
aspiringly: (a matter for consideration.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-22 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
They programmed you to feel pain? That seems rather pointless.

[But wait a second, this is interesting--]

Really? Not even periods of inactivity?
dangerousfool: (good luck)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-06-22 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Science doesn't need a reason to happen, right? I don't like the pain part, but it could be worse. I know it could be.

[Wheatley nods]

Nope. I need very low amounts of energy to survive. I once heard I could even survive if someone replaced my battery with a potato, that's how little voltage I need.

That's why I have been awake and at full energy at all times.
aspiringly: (now let me think on this.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-22 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
However, if it hinders your ability to operate, then it would be better to do away with it completely.

[But then again, he's not sure how much faith he should have in these scientists anyways. Still, not needing to sleep at all, huh.]

That sounds particularly helpful in a place like this. Have you been going around outside at night, then?
dangerousfool: (You look awf--I mean you look great)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-06-22 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
...I...I have no interest in getting myself killed, mate, that's why I'm not going out late at night. I stay inside my fort, safe and sound, uh, in this one or in the one in my room.

[More like always the one in his room, from now on. Wheatley may be an idiot, but he's an idiot with self-preservation instincts. Everyone so far has died at night, no way he's getting out late at night]

aspiringly: (pirates. i think pirates would win.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-23 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
That's a shame, then. It seems there is a great deal that goes on at night while we aren't there to observe it.
dangerousfool: (Say apple)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-06-27 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe there is, but I'm not knowledgeable in defense. And you humans are too fragile, one wrong hit and you'd fall down. I don't want to be accused of murder because I get fraked out and hit someone over the head, that'd--I better avoid that.

[Yeah, if there's no more option, Wheatley is willing to throw caution to the wind and desperately fight back]
aspiringly: is this actually margerine?? (it's a little difficult to believe.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-29 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Is that so? While I'm sure that there are a number of us that may be considered fragile [aka all those high school girls??], you may be hard-pressed to manage that with some of the others in our group. Even so, I doubt you would be able to reach, if you don't mind me saying so.

[Also, Wheatley is so short he's pretty sure that he would have a hard time managing hitting anyone on the head unless they're sitting or lying down.]
