WEEK 3
Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

... Do you know how to make any lemon desserts?

I could probably show you how to make lemon bars! Or, um, I wonder if we have the right ingredients for lemon meringue pie...

Oh, please do... ah! Actually, something we've had surprisingly little of so far is maize. There has to be some in the kitchen, right?

Probably! Do you want it for a specific dish?

Not really, but it's such a common part of diets back home, I'd almost forgot how strange it was we didn't have it at most of the meals.

Oh! I didn't realize it was so common for you. I hope we do have some in the kitchen, then!

I imagine it's a staple of the diet of anyone who isn't travelling all the time... Or maybe some aristocracy.

Is it really tasty? Although I guess it depends on how you prepare it...

It also depends on the farmer too. Some people grow them bigger or sweeter.

Do you miss eating them often?

Mmm, with how much I've gotten to experience here? Not really. Rin's cooked for me nearly every day so far.

[ So she's gotten to try a lot of things. ]

Ah, Rin is a really good cook! [She brightens slightly.] I bet everything she's made you is delicious.

[ She nods ]

It has been. It's gotten to see such a variety of things too.

What's your favorite thing she's made you so far?

Probably still the first one, noodles made out of carrots.

[ . . . She knows, rabbit cliche. ]

[It gets a giggle from her, though she holds a hand over her mouth to attempt to hide it.]

S-Sorry, I don't mean to be rude!

No, no, I can recognize it's amusing!

[ She shifts how she's sitting so end up on her tush and put her legs in the water. ]

That's good! I just wanted to make sure you knew I wasn't laughing at you.

[ KICKING HER FEET IN THE POOL... ]

What about you, have you missed any foods?

[She shakes her head.]

Most of the stuff we had back home is stuff we can find in the kitchen here, too. It's nice.

Oh, not a thing?

[ A beat ]

I'm still surprised at how much meat there is, though.

Oh, yeah, I think most kinds of meat here, you could get at... Do you know what a grocery store is?

[ . . . No.

Shakes her head, no. ]

It's like... a market where they sell lots of different kinds of food, all in the same building. They have refrigerated sections for cold and frozen foods.
