Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

QQ remembered hearing little about it! Nothing too detailed because parts of it were country secrets. But it used really large bags that let ship float when filled with gas!

Ah, that makes sense. How clever! I suppose humans must be doing a lot of things like that.

From what QQ has seen, yes! Transportation is making huge advances so quickly.

[ As she says that, she starts happily spinning around in place. ]

How nice! Technological advancements happen slowly in my kingdom, as we do not have many resources - but as humans begin to throw away more advanced machines, we are making leaps and bounds.

Even if it happens slowly, QQ thinks it's a good thing. Opens up more possibilities!

Quite! Life underground has much improved since we first came there.

Oh, did you move recently?
journalname: (🔱 an old friend)

[personal profile] journalname 2017-06-28 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
No - well, yes, but within the Underground. We went underground a very long time ago.

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-06-29 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
An underground transportation system sounds super though! Are rails most common way to move around?

[personal profile] journalname 2017-06-29 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Oh...no, no. The entire kingdom is underground.
positivespin: (roll strike)

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-06-29 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Ohh... But even then, would transport not be important? Just walking or swimming is enough?

[personal profile] journalname 2017-06-29 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
There are ferries along the river, of course, and a system of elevators and vents in the cliffs of Hotland. But the Underground is not big enough to require much, really.
positivespin: (somersault shoot)

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-06-30 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm...maybe it's because QQ has been travelling for while now, but that's hard to imagine. The system part, not the land. Hotland sounds straightforward!

It is!

[THANK YOU it's a good name]

The vents are all a little complicated. They are mostly used as parts of puzzles - most routes in the Underground are lined with a few.

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-07-01 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds cool! But why puzzles? Wouldn't that get in the way of walking around?
journalname: (🔱 mr dad guy)

[personal profile] journalname 2017-07-02 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
That is the idea! They are meant to repel invaders! The monsters who live near them are well-acquainted with them, of course, and their solutions.
positivespin: (somersault shoot)

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-07-03 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, that makes sense! We do that a lot too. It makes climbing towers fast really hard!
journalname: (🔱 soft)

[personal profile] journalname 2017-07-04 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you have many towers?
positivespin: (infinite rondo)

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-07-04 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Not very tall ones where QQ comes from... But the world QQ visited had this really tall tower called the Tower of Dawn! Had lots of floating cubes to activate if you wanted to move forward.

[personal profile] journalname 2017-07-05 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds very clever! Ours mostly use switches and spikes - blunted, of course, so that no one gets hurt.
positivespin: (aerial rush)

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-07-06 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, switches. They use switches a lot, too. And they always make it hard to pull! Hit them while on minecart, use ring to hit from afar, stuff like that. But QQ guesses it has to be like that or else it isn't puzzle.

[personal profile] journalname 2017-07-07 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose so. I have tried to steer our people more towards logic puzzles - so as not to inconvenience any monsters without the strength for pushing rocks or the like. But there is usually someone around to help regardless.
positivespin: (spin thrust)

[personal profile] positivespin 2017-07-07 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
Some of QQ's friends are really good with logic puzzles. They would probably enjoy that! And maybe suggest different versions of puzzle. QQ would need help then.
journalname: (🔱 teatime)

[personal profile] journalname 2017-07-08 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
That would be fun! A sort of puzzle exchange!
