Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

Success! Time to reel it in.

[ QQ will take that as a cue to take a peek, tilting her head quizzically at the note. It doesn't sound negative or threatening to her, but the word usage is a bit baffling. ]

"Nice list"? Uum, what does that mean?

Oh, it's sort of a joke. [Rin points to the placard she left with the cookies last night, that reads "FOR SANTA CLAUS".] Where I come from there's a holiday with a mascot named Santa Claus: a jovial man with a big belly that brings children presents one night a year, if they've been "nice" as a reward for their good behavior.

Sometimes children leave out milk and cookies for him, and find the treats gobbled up when they wake up so they know he was there.

Ahh, so it's a tradition. And a cute one too! QQ thinks it's a great idea--whoever is Santa must have lots of fun with it.

[ And parents get milk and cookies, so it's a win-win situation all around! ]

So that means whoever wrote this definitely knows about Santa Claus tradition, right?

That's right, not that it narrows things down much. Santa Claus is a popular figure among many cultures.

Oh, too bad... Would be nice if it did, but suppose that is too easy. Plus, they could have heard it from someone here.
heritrix: (could it be?)

Good catch, QQ. I hadn't considered that.

But at least it's something. Could help narrow things down with better info later.

[ She's not sure what sort of situation would make it useful, but hey, can't hurt to be positive about it. ]

What about the rest of our stuff?
