Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]
aspiringly: is this actually margerine?? (it's a little difficult to believe.)

[That's... well. True enough.]

I see. As long as you know your limits, then I don't have a reason to stop you. But you should change into something more appropriate if you plan on spending your time in the pool. Your own health aside, I doubt the pool water would do favors for your suit.
cthulwho: (☁ this is terrible)

[What.

Lovecraft looks at McGillis like that's an even stranger statement than the previous one about him drowning.]

But...this is what I always wear. It makes no difference.
aspiringly: doug why do you exist. (le sigh.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-22 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
[He's just worried about your suit man!! ...Actually no, but having Lovecraft sopping wet, dripping water all over the place and smelling of chlorine is pretty unappealing. But just. Why.]

Even if that's so, I doubt it will be comfortable for you when you leave the water.
cthulwho: (☁ don't want to be here)

[personal profile] cthulwho 2017-06-22 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's going to wash the chlorine off, at least...! A minor consolation.]

I don't really care. I've done it many times...

[Many times.

Boy is he being difficult, though.]

I'm not sure what else I would wear.
aspiringly: doug why do you exist. (le sigh.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-23 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
I would think that at least taking off your clothes would be preferable.

[...Is he trying to convince Lovecraft to strip nude? What has become of his life.

...Let's not. Think about that.]
cthulwho: (☁ this is terrible)

[personal profile] cthulwho 2017-06-23 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
I-I'm sorry?

[MCGILLIS............... At least give him more candy first before suggesting such things!!]
aspiringly: doug why do you exist. (le sigh.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-23 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
[You know you've probably done something wrong with your life if Lovecraft stares at you like that but you know what? He can make a reasonable argument.]

It's not unheard of for people to swim while naked. And if given the situation where it may be necessary for you to be rescued from the pool, having a set of waterlogged clothing would only make that task more difficult.

[Go, Lovecraft. Be the skinny dipper you were meant to be!!]
cthulwho: (☁ nervous)

[personal profile] cthulwho 2017-06-25 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
No one is going to have to rescue me from the pool. I will be fine.

[He seems...pretty confident about it. Sorry McGillis, he would rather Not.]
aspiringly: doug why do you exist. (le sigh.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-26 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
[Well it's okay, he'd... rather not be there if it happens anyways.]

If you insist, I won't press the matter further.

[Maybe he can even pretend this conversation never happened, sigh. But since he's not intending on taking a swim himself anytime soon...]

Were you able to investigate the bottom of the pool at the least?
cthulwho: (☁ am i supposed to do something)

[personal profile] cthulwho 2017-06-26 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
Investigate? I...hadn't considered that, actually. Do you suppose there is something to find?

[Like, he'll definitely do it. He might need to wear something to see better down there first though, since the chlorine is rough on his eyes.]
aspiringly: (now let me think on this.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-27 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
It's possible that small items have been dropped in and overlooked by whoever cleans it, although I wouldn't be able to say anything for certain. Still, any clues would be worth the trouble.

[Unfortunately, he doesn't have any goggles or know of any conveniently lying around! Unless they McGyver something really silly.]
cthulwho: (☁ wandering)

[personal profile] cthulwho 2017-06-27 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Hmmm.

He nods.]

I will see what I can come up with... I will inform you if I find anything interesting.

[Maybe he'll just have to make it work without them...]
aspiringly: (that's quite the tale you have there.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-28 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
That would be appreciated.

[At least something potentially productive came of this conversation. Better than leaving it on whatever awkward note they would have had before.]
