Week 3.
Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. |

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

[We have to go deeper.]

[She pulls her paintbrush away the picture in a sudden, rigid motion. Facing the picture, she tries to view it with an open mind. Hurt seeps into her heart instead, where she wasn't focusing; an attack on two different sides.]
It makes me angry. [A scoff escapes her, in a breath.] Honestly, I should throw it away.
[Dropping the paintbrush unceremoniously in a tray, she makes no move to do so this instant, but she's seriously considering it.]

What about it makes you angry?
[He's not trying to pry-- in fact, Rin can totally take it as a rhetorical question if she would like. If anything, his tone and expression definitely aren't prodding for an answer. However, it is something she should try to answer for herself.]

You've been hanging out with Danny, haven't you?
no subject
Yeah I have.
[A beat.]
Why?

[Not that she knows, she's never in her life been to one. But they talk you through the things you wouldn't think to say yourself, right?]
I was joking, but if that's true he must be rubbing off on you. People adopt aspects and mannerisms of others when they're around them for a while.
[She's smiling slightly, but as she doesn't face him it doesn't appear Rin's teasing him. As soon as the words were out of her mouth, she realized how ironic it was.]

[Danny hasn't rubbed off on him that way in the least.]
Profiling people and figuring out what they'll do is part of my job, so that part just came out. Then again, I come from a time where there are many mental health professionals and so we need to know the ins and outs of our mental health so things don't go down the shitter...
no subject
[But no that's a good argument still, so she lets it pass.]
Anyways, I guess that's for the best in the world you describe, but it feels alien to me it became so popular. There's not much emphasis on it in my time.
[Mental health, that is. If anything, in Japan 2005, it's still widely looked down upon in some circles.]
no subject
[Yep...
In any case... He wonders what it would be like to truly live in a world where your mental health doesn't define you.]
I don't know why it did, either. It was probably just a form of government someone put into place and it worked... for the majority.
[And the minority are just shit out of luck.]
Everything is about your mental health and mental beauty. People use all sorts of pharmaceuticals to help regulate it. I've also heard rumors that people are dying from a lack of actual stress. My world... it's far from perfect... yet it pretends to be perfect.

[There's a scoff from him.]
