Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

[ This whole burning thing is getting pretty popular... ]

You too, huh?
aspiringly: (pirates. i think pirates would win.)

There's no sense in keeping it around. Besides, at least it'll serve another purpose now.

[Aka let's get a better idea of how long it takes for the incinerator to get going!!]

I've kept mine to show it to people in case they doubt me, but it seems not everyone is as free of urgency that they could do that...
aspiringly: (that's quite the tale you have there.)

Well, everyone has certain particulars that they wish to keep private. If your secret is something that can be shown around so freely, then that would make you one of the luckier ones, wouldn't it?
georgeous: (Sunglasses are great)

I suppose so. But it's as the Risen also alluded to - it gets easier to share your secrets if you are among strangers. If none of you ever go to my world, I really have no reason to care about this.
aspiringly: (don't you think it's a fine day?)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-26 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
And yet there are some secrets that may be uncomfortable regardless of whom you're amongst. As inconsequential as it may seem, anything that leads to embarrassment, condemnation or any other undesirable reaction is something people will naturally move to avoid.
georgeous: (Command)

That is true, although I think it is just a matter of knowing how to prioritize. Even if everyone shared their secret here, we'd still not be able to judge the weight it'd have for them back home and whether or not they'd kill for it.

Even so, it's impossible to control how everyone will respond. As reasonable as it would be to consider the context, I'm sure there are those who will react spontaneously regardless. Impressions are a powerful thing, after all.
